NBA
Re: NBA
Oh yeah I know. I went through a mourning phase when Rondo broke his thumb. Then came the Raptors who almost seemed like they were afraid of Lebron. Looking back Indiana was Clevelands toughest opponent yet. Youre right though I havent been paying as close attention since the Bulls got bounced. I'm not even a Celtic hater. There's players I dislike but not entire teams.
Re: NBA
You know i do and if the c's don't advance I'll post it...followed by enjoying SR's speech about how making out of the second round meant complete success for his team (even though they are the 1 seed)
The ring is the thing...

Just like you after you lost game 3 & 4SR wrote:When the C's looked grim, you (and all the other haters) were active....when the Bulls looked grim you went board silent. Now....VOILA, you're back. LeBron has played a couple of series before the C's btw
Re: NBA
I've responded to this nugget of absurdity before. If true, the only active moments in this thread should be after the deciding game of the finals....just the dumbest, most dismissive, arrogant and overreaching position possible. But anyone subscribing to it.....certainly any Laker fan shouldn't be celebrating a second place draft pick and scolding a C fan for a "speech" ( ) stating joy (and success) for making it to the ECF after a rebuild. Remember, the Celtics and the Lakers (on the court) were essentially equals just four years ago, but off the court their trajectory has been radically different. The C's are in the ECF's and the Lakers are in the basement among multiple other factors.kv wrote:You know i do and if the c's don't advance I'll post it...followed by enjoying SR's speech about how making out of the second round meant complete success for his team (even though they are the 1 seed)

The C's aren't going to advance, so post the banner. The ring is the thing! I actually enjoy the NBA.....yep, I am a C fanatic, but I love bball.....many of the kids, in addition to god like athletes seem like a-ok kiddos, I love the small market teams (Memphis and Minn I routinely root for year in and year out), and I'll root the fuck for Durantula to win one this year remembering his MVP speech weeping while accepting on behalf of his mom....also weeping. And ya know what? I'll even root for the fakers to turn the miserable corner and put out that eternal dumpster fire that burns in LA. I like Jeanie.....tough as nails.....and as just part of the argument against the absurd 'the ring is the thing' bs.....part of the C's great legacy is that we beat some other worldly talented Laker teams (and others) to win Championships. Competition is the thing.....ya win some, ya lose some, but it's just a fuckin game.
Re: NBA
Respect to the c's fans that stayed till the end to applaud their team for the likely last time
Worst home playoff loss in C's history....ck
Worst half time deficit in the shot clock era....ck
Worst loss by a 1 seed in NBA history....ck
There are more...but...

I saw the scores but was at The Damned and they didn't have it on at the indoor bar at the venue eitherkv wrote:Respect to the c's fans that stayed till the end to applaud their team for the likely last time

Re: NBA
I didn't turn it off.....history in the making Phone blew up and all I could say was we'd be responsible for talks in the off season for the introduction of an NBA mercy rule if a team goes down by 50 at the half. I particularly liked the internet responses on Bleacher Report and Twitter; they were fucking hysterical. And yep, C fans were pretty fuckin cool at 0.00
Btw, besides Jaylen being part of some of the better jokes, he's earned LeBron's respect.....of any of the C's if anyone get mentioned after this bloodbath by him, it'll be Brown.

Re: NBA
I'm not sold on that....wasn't at the deadline either. What's apparent now is we aren't one player away. I still think the next piece is a big man/space maker/rebounder/star. Boogie still resonates as the miss at the deadline. Luka intrigues me as a shooting guard for the 18 draft. Love Bradley, but he's small and inconsistent and Smart is less consistent. Rozier is solid....I love him as a pick even as tons of C fans shit all over him. We have #1 this year, really good chance for it next year, and still tons of cap space. We need rebounds.....desperately and a big who can finish at the rim, create space, and protect the rim
Re: NBA
I agree with rim protection but the Cavs are built to score and continue to out score in the East. As long as Bronny Drama is healthy and he has Kyrie there they will be a tough out in the 'offsSR wrote:I'm not sold on that....wasn't at the deadline either. Re: NBA
There's hope and there's hope. Stoked on the win. LeBron was deff on a different level tonight, and wtf is ai? IT''s absence changed the personality of the team....no deference....loose...really no one had anything to lose. Good for all LeBron haters.
