this is interesting. i wonder what he is recording. at least with ezrin you know it isn't some silly techno music. from etty:
It was a special night when stars aligned. Perry farrell recording with Bob Ezrin (Producer of Pink Floyd The Wall) at Johnny Depp's house. It brought back such great memories of when we were in the studio everyday with Bob while recording Strays. Yes, Johnny was there, joined by Amber a couple hours later, After the session, the 2 couples traded stories until midnight, it was a good night.
I liked Johnny Depp until about the mid to late 90s. The guy is just embarrassing now. His "I'm super eccentric" schtick was a curiosity for about 5 minutes...now it's just lame. And as far as good actors with pretty boy looks go, there are a ton that can act rings around him.
Seriously, watch this video of him at a recent Grammys show. Major douche nozzle.

Really? I didn't find anything wrong with that introduction
I also don't think he comes off as "super eccentric" either, at least not now (and hasn't for a long time). I think he's a great actor, or maybe "was". I haven't seen a proper film by him for a loooong time. And no, Pirates of the Caribbean doesn't count. Now his performance as Tonto.

I'll always love him for this scene:
The last one I saw was Trascending and I got bored.

I wonder if he's doing something for the McCartney Project??
In the family pic you posted there was a reference to it #mccartney project. Also, I found this:
As if being on the road with Aerosmith, working on his next solo album, and prepping his memoirs for publication weren’t enough to keep him busy, it turns out Joe Perry has also been up to something in the studio with Paul McCartney.
Telling the Chicago Sun-Times that he did a session with McCartney “a month and a half ago for a private thing,” he added, “I met him once or twice [over the years] to say hello. To spend six or eight hours in studio with him recording! He makes you feel like [you’re recording with just another guy]. He just happens to be a motherf—ing huge talent! Everyone’s in the room at once; you play until you get a good take.”
Asked to describe the emotional experience of playing with the former Beatle, Perry responded, “It’s the great ego leveler. I was in the studio with Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp, playing guitar, and the three of us are looking at each other like, hey, we’re sitting here with Paul McCartney! And we’re all looking at each other like open-mouthed kids. Paul was really nice. He’s all about business [when he’s recording]. At 72 he can still hit all those notes.”
Of course, now that he’s spilled the beans, fans are going to want to hear the results as soon as possible, but Perry refused to offer even a hint of a release date. Promising there would be an announcement when the time is right, he would only add, “It’s a project that we’re keeping under wraps for now.”

Didn't even know there was a video of that
Did I just hear a crappy house version of Stiop! btw?
Yes. I saw him do that with Etty from a foot away, playing the track off a laptop (I think Carl Restivo had a guitar or a bass or something, but I'm not sure he was plugged in for that song). While I was super excited to get to shake Perry's hand after being such a huge fan... that rendition was karaoke awful. I could've approximated it better, if you put enough effects on my voice.
See that Macbook? He actually clicked on that shit to start Stop!
I can't believe there is an audience in front of them; I mean, there's people who are cheering and are way into it. Who are these people?
This is such a slap in the face to the Jane's legacy (up there with what Jerry Only has done to the Misfits legacy), they're lucky they weren't pelted with rocks and bottles.
Aside from all that's been said in this thread, I also found it cringe-worthy that Etty has to readjust herself while holding that pose. A professional dancer -supposedly-, one that does little more than bend her knees while pretending to be a backup singer, and when she has to hold a pose for 40 seconds, she can't. I get that holding a pose for even 5 seconds might be difficult, but she's supposed to be a professional dancer. They're supposed to have rehearsed that shit. But no: firstly, she doesn't know whether to hold the mic (so she can pretend to be singing while holding the pose,) and then she has to readjust her pose while Perry is laying on the ground after reaching nirvana through Etty's crotch.
