The Costa Rica match was exciting with all the PKs. Poor Mexico they got robbed.

Poor Chicharito, gets the blame...

For Sneijder's goal, Chicharito was marking his man and some other Mexican decided not to mark Sneijder.

Mexico's manager is to blame here. With 30 minutes to go he made a defensive substitution and his team started defending inside their own box. That's usually a bad decision, especially against Netherlands who had shown in their last 2 matches that they save their best efforts for the last 30 minutes of the game.

As much as I want the French to go home, I'm expecting both European teams to qualify tomorrow.

Now Larry I know we have had some differences but Viva France! I'm pulling for France, US, and Brazil.

Excellent. And it's so true.
As said before Robben is an asshole and in the Bundesliga most referees do what HE WANTS them to do :banghead:

Glad Greece is out.

It was a bit of a dramatic dive. Saying that, he could have quite easily gone down 10 minutes earlier but stayed on his feet after a dodgy tackle.

ALLEZ LA FRANCE!

One of the reasons I don't like the French national team: they get away with stuff like this.

It was a highly entertaining match! Özil was pretty bad overall, but both teams put on a show.

Neuer was insanely good.

Come on Belgium and vamoh Argentina carajooo!!

Everyone is horribly static, except for Messi. Gago is SHIT, I have no idea what he's doing there. He's slow, can't tackle, can't provide key passes...

That, and Switzerland's tactical discipline is ridiculously good.

C'mon Messi, come on...

Wow, you actually understood how and why that played out the way it did. You sure you're 100% 'murican?

Sudden death (or "golden goal") was one of the most horrific inventions that made it briefly into the world of football.
