I liked October File's first album from 2007, "Holy Armour from the Jaws of God." Strangely, I couldn't find a YouTube video for the song Jaz Coleman guested on so I threw one together myself this afternoon. Lotsa apocalyptic, explodey stuff:

Not sure I like the nu-metal production, but it gets decent further in.Pandemonium wrote:I liked October File's first album from 2007, "Holy Armour from the Jaws of God." Someone could very easily slot in guitar and vox from Black Sabbath's "Paranoid" to that song.Matz wrote:

Arctic Monkeys for sure. Incredibly fresh when they arrived. The following track is incredible. Matt Helders is one hell of a drumming talent.

In my desperate search for any music that wasn't complete garbage, I happened to come across this band. Um, well this is a new band from New Jersey.

Please re-read the first word on the title of this thread. And if you can, delete that awful abortion of a song. Thank you.teresaunseen wrote:In my desperate search for any music that wasn't complete garbage, I happened to come across this band. Um, well this is a new band from New Jersey.

Well someone posted a vid from that god awful commercial trash Sleigh Bells who came out in 2008 according to my research, and another video on this thread from Santigold, who I think started in 2007.

its well apparent to me that there are alot of idiots on this forum who don't know their ASS from a hole in the ground.

i have to check everyone's ip address that registers here since dain (adolf) has re registered about 20 times since he was banned. you and teresaunseen have the same ip address. why the new name just to say that?mooseman1 wrote:its well apparent to me that there are alot of idiots on this forum who don't know their ASS from a hole in the ground.
and "a lot" is two words not one. when you call people idiots the most important thing to do is to check your spelling and grammar.

"an" is used before a word that starts with a vowel. you should use "a" instead. you are also missing some apostrophes in your contractions.

Gogol Bordello just put on the best live show I've ever seen, and I've seen NIN, Cure, JA, Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Bauhaus... this was incredible... I can understand not liking folk music or the guy's voice or whatever, but I can't understand not seeing how these guys have the most energy of any band since JA. Amazing.

Thanks for this thread and all the posts. I'm becoming an old man when it comes to new music so I'm gonna smash this thread in the coming days.

I'm not even going to make a list, but seriously...
Pretty much everything played on Sirius Alt Nation gives me nothing but hope for the future of music. I listen all day and love most of it. It takes me right back to the 90s when people were still doing interesting things and experimenting sonically with new sounds.
