Axl refuses HOF honor in legalspeak.

Good for him. Anyone that snubs the RnRHoF gets a pass from me.
Because The Hall of Fame is an elitist joke. When you have toolbags like Jann Wenner and David Marsh deciding by secret ballot who gets in and who doesn't plus the fact there's deals made between these jackholes and record companies to promote bands who are doing new albums and tours or reunions, anyone can see it's a shame from the ground up.Tyler Durden wrote:Because?Pandemonium wrote:

Yeah, I agree Axl is a world class asshole but he can't stop the other guys from accepting the induction or even performing a few songs with someone else on vocals. And frankly, looking at a couple of his former bandmates like Steven Adler who's been desperately and pathetically sucking Axl's cock hoping for a reunion for years only to turn around within *hours* of Axl's note calling GnR's current band "scabs" doesn't exactly engender sympathy for the ex-banmates from me. At least guys like Izzy and Duff seem to have the common sense to avoid the BS.Romeo wrote:I absolutely agree about the HOF however....Axl is a jackass.
So let the guys who are showing up have fun and find someone else to sing GnR songs with them
To be fair it should be called the music HOF because of the different groups and people in there. All of that said the Beastie Boys music is more enjoyable to me than anything Rush has ever done. Not saying they suck or do not deserve to be in there but there are many others that feel that way as well.Matz wrote:Rush is not in the hall?! But the Beastie boys either are or will be? Funny you say that, I was wondering why Green Day of all bands were inducting Guns, then I read yesterday they're releasing 3 albums between Sept. 2012 and January 2013. Nice high profile appearance to jump back into the public's eye with 3 albums coming out in 5 months.Pandemonium wrote:Because The Hall of Fame is an elitist joke. If you look at who's in of those that have been eligible for several years or more, you can see where the bias lies, which is mostly against new wave, prog and hard rock. Although I strongly dislike some listed below and even question a few if they're worth a shit or not, almost all listed should be in when you balance this against who *already* is in, going by the HoF's own criteria:blackula wrote:Funny you say that, I was wondering why Green Day of all bands were inducting Guns, then I read yesterday they're releasing 3 albums between Sept. 2012 and January 2013. But yeah, it's a joke who is in and who is not. I fucking hate Kiss, but I think if you have a rock and roll hall of fame those clowns deserve to be in it. Rush for sure.
Yeah, I read that too. However, Jack Irons and Cliff Martinez will be participating, so three drummers should be interesting.SR wrote:Froosh said he'd feel awkward/uncomfortable and will not participate with the chilies either.
I heard a rumor Dave Navarro was in the Peppers for a brief period. Must've been bullshit, though, or you'd think we would've heard something.thoreau wrote:Yeah, I read that too. Myles Kennedy is so, so bad. Man I wish the original GnR would get back together.Pandemonium wrote:Video is rough, but from what's been said and seen in at least this clip, George Clinton, Cliff Martinez, Jack Irons, Ronnie Wood, Billy Joe Armstrong and Slash, all guested for the Chili Pepper's set. No Dave. Looks awesome.
Guns n' Roses minus Axl and Izzy ( so I guess Velvet Revolver? LOL!) with Steven Adler and Matt Sorum alternating on drums along with Myles Kennedy on vox played 3 songs:
