I’m hearing rumors Chaney is out of Janes.
They're posting a lot of pics with Eric.
They keep doing that, and did it the other day while at the same time promoting the tour. That is just a really strange thing to do if he isn’t involved.
Pandemonium- hear anything specific at all?

I'd love to see Eric back with them again, but also fear Dave will still be dealing with long Covid then. Hopefully not though.

I’m pretty close to just messaging the official JA account to ask who is in the band

Alanis Morissette is on tour now, perhaps Chaney is playing for her.
As for Dave, I'm curious to know what's up with him. Other than long Covid, seems like there's something else going on.

You can’t drop in, leave this nugget after all the speculation in the other thread, and dip. Spill everything you’ve heard… or else!

Been thinking the same thing for the past year or two.

After 20 years? Chaney doesn't seem to care who's writing the check. Good for him I guess.

A few other music-related boards I'm on have several people who claim to know he's not doing the upcoming tour plus I guess he's dropped Janes from his bio which of course in the 21st century social media world means everything. If anything, my guess is that due to the uncertainty of Dave making the Pumpkins tour, "Janes" is hedging their bets and put Watt on the payroll in case they need to fall back on a Porno Pumpkins tour (undoubtably playing a few JA burnout songs to appease ticketholders expecting JA). My gut feeling is, I really don't think Eric is doing this tour or they'd be plugging it with a few LA club warm-up appearances like they did in '08.

Maybe Martyn does the tour?? Has Dave said anything at all about it?
Someone ask Dan Cleary!

I was wondering when they brought Gilby out for 1% if they were testing that line up out for Jane's. I'd be thrilled to see Porno as Jane's with a mix of songs.

I'm tacking this on rather than starting a new thread, because who knows what anyone knows, but I was with an industry friend last weekend and they said that albums from both JA and P4P are on the cards.

Interesting- that spin article mentioned he was recording with both but didn’t specify if it was just a few songs or full albums. Eric also shared a photo on Insta of a “writing session” in his hotel room. If it’s for his solo stuff that’s cool and all but I wanna hear some Janes tunes written around EA basslines

That would be incredible.

It's funny that people still believe things Perry says.

I feel like the older he gets the more of what he talks about actually happens. He seems to understand time is running out.

Farrell said he’d be busy with three of his groups in the coming weeks, and was also considering working on a protest folk music project.

Dave posted on Insta with vacation photos today, while P4P is set to stand in for Jane's in Chicago, so I don't know what's up, but it's something more than long Covid.

Wtf? Is that really a Galaxian Xanax design in his IG page? Appears he's in Joshua Tree...a fairly good destination for someone who's contagious, but I'd say the Lolla PFP gig is a really important one for them. Too old to speculate on tectonic shifts in the JA world, but all things considered, this is weird.
