I love the trench coat! I think he looks pretty cool in that outfit. 9/10 for style.

I just realized Perry took both earpieces out at the 0:12 mark. You can see them hanging around his neck for awhile too. Maybe that's why he wasn't exactly on cue with the backing vocals?

I repeat: a posh hot wife, eh?

I meant posh as in elegant/upper class. And yes, the average dude would think she is "hot".

If I close my eyes and imagine Perry from 1990 singing, then it's acceptable...but at the end of the day, you know it's just him going through the motions because it's the thing that made him famous to begin with. I've said the same thing before. If you close your eyes and imagine late 80's or early 90's Perry while listening to Strays or TGEA it somehow makes the music so much better :lolol: For TGEA if I imagine Perry floating in space with dreads the songs become immensely better to me. I know, it sounds ridiculous. Hardcore fans have a lot of problems with his aesthetics nowadays, as they're not at all as they use to be.

Sometimes I think if Perry just decided to grow his dreads back everyone would cut the guy a TON of slack for is shortcomings. I doubt people would rag on him as much for drinking expensive wine, having a posh hot wife, his aging vocals, his newest cover art, etc.
That being said, when Perry had "wacky" hair and all that during the Relapse tour, I thought he look retarded; it's a good thing he had the excuse of being fucked out of his mind.
Funny you see it that way, that was actually my favorite version of Perry EVER. I loved his hair and outfits during the Relapse Tour. Totally psychedelic and just crazy. I wish Perry looked like that all the time! :thumb:

Yes. I don't understand what is so unbelievable/confusing for you. Want more commas or something? Here: A posh, hot wife.

And again: I meant posh as in elegant/upper class. And yes, the average dude would think she is "hot".

Let me know if you still need more clarification.

Fuck I dunno I guess I'm just saying she likes the nicer things in life, and everyone would rather have Perry date some chick who is more artsy and doesn't care about staying in the nicest hotels, being on camera, and having a reality tv show. She's the exact opposite of Casey.

Just Googled "posh definition" and this first came up:

Adjective:
Elegant or stylishly luxurious.
Noun:
The quality or state of being elegant, stylish, or upper class.
Synonyms:
elegant - chic - stylish - swell - swanky

I'm pretty sure Etty tries to be all of those things, to her best abilities, whether she actually is or not, and whether Perry has deep enough pockets for it...she sure wants to portray herself that way and prefers that lifestyle. She pretends to be high-society even if she isn't. She wears highly fashionable brand name clothing, only eats and drinks the best cuisine...she's chic as all Hell. Anyways, if Perry grew his dreads back I think people would seriously cut him more slack for dating this woman. Dreads would just scream Jane's 1.0

But yeah "bottom feeder" and "gold digger" work better.

Sorry for the confusion everyone :conf:

at 2:40, perry looks like he's about to puke all over his shiny coat. either he caught a glimpse of himself in the monitor or he ate some bad fish.

great song.... not so great performance.

My very favourite Perry Farrell facial expression of all time is in this video at 1:28. He looks like:

A) He's straining his vocal cords in order to hit a note and it hurts real bad.
B) He has bad gas and a serious intestinal blockage.
C) He's having a temporary moment of clarity and realizing just how much this song sucks ass.

P.S. It's so obvious there is a vocal backing track.

From the start of the performance I was like meh but about halfway through I really started to enjoy it, and I thought the ending was pretty climactic. A good showing on national TV for them. Looks good. You can really appreciate Perky's playing on this song when you're able to see it along with hearing it, especially his hi-hat work...which makes me wonder if he really wasn't playing nearly as boring as we thought he did on TGEA. It would be cool to see more of the songs live to see what really goes into Perk and Dave's parts.

Perry is reeeeeally lookin' old at the 2:54 mark :hehe: love the guy though keep rockin' it, we all get old one day...we all float down here.
back-up dancers? what has jane's become? Back-up tracks? who does perry think he's fooling?

Perry's been using female eye candy onstage since '91. Granted, never to the ridiculous and cheesy levels he does now, but even the '97 Relapse tour was like a Motley Crue show in that regard.

That's the one thing that bothered me about the ENIT show, when during Three Days Perry did a little choreographed on all fours routine with the ladies. It reminded me of something I would have seen in a Warrant video.

It's brief, but it bugs me every time I see it.

I loved the dancers during the Relapse Tour. I was all about it. I also really liked the circus show Perry had going on with dancers in Porno for Pyros. Hard Charger was great with the islander-type dancers and Woodstock '94 had those crazy stage actors/clowns/strippers.

Man, just the opposite for me. Even though I just compared this bit to a Motley Crue show, in this instance the bimbo brigade *worked* spectacularly well, imo. Looking at this clip, it does look a bit silly in retrospect, but I was at the ENIT show and during that night with all the boozy, druggy vibe the whole place had (I don't think Janes came on until after 11pm) and the whole production even with this rehearsed choreography was every bit as authentic to classic JA in spirit and execution as any hardcore fan could ever hope for.

This gig remains my 2nd favorite Janes show I've seen only behind the 12/19/90 Hollywood Palladium show.

Context, people! Perry has always been about spectacle. There were dancers and circus freaks performing during Porno. Get over yourselves and whatever your vision of Perry is....FUCK!

yeah but the spectacle was the beginning of the end for perry .. he got distracted with all that bullshit and forgets he is singing a song .. he probably writes in that distracted state now .. back pre 90's they were all IN the song .. pulling every little nuance they could find out of the song to make it all more meaningful and powerful .. now its just the 'watch perry pretend he is hot for his wife, while pretending he is not hot for the other dancer' show .. watch perry dry hump etty and dave, and maybe if he can get his eyes off of daves tiny bulge for a moment he will remember he is singing a song. ... hey anybody remember when perry used to play guitar on 3 days????? ps... it sounded fucking great! no backing trax required .. and he sang that fuckin 3 days song out of tune so many times .. but for some reason it didn't matter at all .. i wish perry would just flip the fuck out and tell etty and her friend to get the fuck off the stage and never come back .. i never want to see janes choreograph anything .. no bleeding saggy back freeks swinging .. no big stupid looking naked lady billboard on stage .. i will take the parachute pants on kettle whistle any time .. that was fuckin awesome on the jubilee .. but other than that .. i wanna see perry flip out and smash all that back track shit .. get rid of the hearing aid and just tell off all the talk show hosts and say fuck it .. we are done being bon jovi .. wait a minute .. maybe a janes addiction country cross over is on the horizon .. it worked for bon jovi ... maybe keith urban and bob rock can fill drew carey and rich costeys shoes ...
