Retro 80's new wave on Gorilla Biscuits.
Re: M83
I don't care what critics like. Hopefully I can talk some of the people I know that WANT to see M83 to come down to the circle during Slayer, what with their extra tight jeans and members only jackets they should be able to be completely aerodynamic in the circle.
But honestly it is what it is, kids are listening to that these days just glad this fest exists as they have the dance, punk, metal and hiphop stuff pretty much all in the same area.

When I say hardcore I mean bands like the Bad Brains and that type of sound. Some people consider shit like Hatebreed "hardcore" and that is not my thing.
As for Slayer they kill it live just like Gwar does I don't own any of either band's albums but they put on good shows. People carving pentagrams into their skin are fucking idiots as well as people putting X's on their hands.
As for M83 not my thing, I don't listen to much of that type of stuff I think the closest I listen to is Lovage, Portishead or DJ Drez and those aren't really in the same area since M83 has more live instrumentation from what I have heard. That all being said I do plan to catch part of the set to see how its performed live maybe they will win me over. Maybe not.
I don't know if M83 is hipster music or not but it seems every hipster in Austin (some of them are friends of mine) is in love with this band and I don't get it. But hey at least we can agree on Ken Andrews
