Yup.
Now I want pistachios.

That really made me chuckle.intertwoven wrote:When you guys eat pistachios, do you eat the pistachio placenta?
Wouldn't we know already? Vegans love to let everyone know that they are vegans.Matz wrote:any vegans here?
I eat a vegan diet in that I don't eat eggs, drink milk etc, but if I'm downgraded to a vegetarian as a whole for owning a leather jacket and stuff like it, that's ok with me..kv wrote:Vegetarian, right on...do you feel better? Was it done for health or to clear conscience? Prob combo...
That teeth argument is not the strongest I think. You might as well say that we have teeth so we can eat nuts.Bandit72 wrote:Surely we have teeth that have evolved to eat meat? Or do people become vegans for health reasons? (If it is healthy?)
PS, I tried a keto diet once and felt really ill after a wekk. Never again.
Well, I mean for some people that honestly don't want to kill an ant I guess I understand...in the same way I understand bulimia...seems extreme... doesn't appear to be the the healthiest way to live...but if that's what your body is telling youHype wrote:I'm vegan-adjacent, in that I spend a lot of time surrounded by them. I intentionally avoid making my diet a "thing", like, with a name, or any requirements, mostly because I think that's often just a kind of superstition. I think there are obvious good reasons to eat less meat (especially red meat), and probably some reasons to try to avoid supporting factory farming if you can. But I also think that to try to consistently and strictly live like that is crazy.
