Agreed. Melodrama is one of the albums getting me through my breakup.Larry B. wrote:Lorde is amazing.

Lorde is what happens when you smoke too much and can't open your mouth all the way because you have mouth cancer.

What an album to help you get through that. Hard Feelings was made to destroy young souls.farrellgirl99 wrote:Agreed. Melodrama is one of the albums getting me through my breakup.Larry B. wrote:Lorde is amazing.

Really digging this song:

I found a new obsession. I also think they might like Jane's Addiction (and other songs sound like Pixies, Cure, etc).
Turn your woofers up.

For the last few days or so, I've been baking every day because the annual "cookie baking day with friends and wine" was cancelled this year. Anyway, while I've been baking, I've been listening to one of the local radio stations(Indie 88) and heard Bahamas (didn't know it was just one dude) for the first time! Wow, I really love this song...so good! The funny thing is, I thought Bahamas was a crappy, techno music group and never bothered checking it out.
Parts of the song reminds me of David Byrne.
Pino Palladino and James Gadson are part of the band the most recent album.
I don't think it's so new but I just heard this for the first time this week too- love it!

Top track on the latest LCD release, imo.

I listened to this for the first time in ages the other day. Still love it.
Re: What new(can be old band ) music are you digging
New David Byrne album coming soon.
This is the lead single " co-written with Brian Eno and featuring contributions from TTY, Happa Isaiah Barr, and Sampha"
I like the song but the vocals sound off to me. Auto-tune?
Hope his tour comes my way.

Last year I kind of got into Oasis a bit. I'm also quite liking Noels Who Built The Moon album especially this song.

Better late than never. The death of you and me is my favorite track by High flying birds.Bandit72 wrote:Last year I kind of got into Oasis a bit. I'm also quite liking Noels Who Built The Moon album especially this song.

Nice homage to Prince. This song reminds me a little of St Vincent.

I love this woman's voice.
It's probably too mellow for people's tastes here. After a jazz cigarette it's very nice..

If you've never listened to Beach House, here's your chance:
That's their latest song. They will be releasing an album this year and will probably tour the US and Mexico.
They are incredible.

Yup .....Earl Slick on geetar, David Sanborne on sax, and Bowie. He hated this recording rumor has it. Rich and lush guitar.....loving Cracked Actor, Panic in Detroit, and Aladdin Sane (and the rest)

Beach House is definitely one of my favourite 'current' bands, along with Animal Collective and probably Tame Impala.Matz wrote:Larry, you're not serious right?
