The intro to that very first track sounds like a David Bowie / Gary Glitter song... But he sings like Billy Idol. :noclue:

Yes, BIlly Idol, Richard Butler, and a bit of Iggy. I wonder how he'll sound tonight.

love the 'like like I'm dancing on angels' part...goosebumps almost. Bowie's so great, who can touch him really?

The Feelies' first album. So much better than just that one single. They're like Weezer, if Weezer didn't suck.

I used to really like this album. Not sure why I thought of it today. Whatever the reason, I am enjoying now.

I recently discovered Savages too. I think they are really good! New album coming out in January.

Apparently they have a really good live show. I bought tickets to see them in April!

I first heard of Savages earlier this year when I watched the so-so sci-fi movie "Ex Machina" and their song Husbands played over the credits. They have a Bauhaus/Christian Death sound that I really like and I'm looking forward to the new LP next month.

That singer is a pretty good early Perry Farrell/Siouxsie thingy.

she sound exactly like siouxsie a lot of the time.......don't know what to think about that...maybe it's a bit too much or maybe it's all right, still a cool band no matter what :noclue:

T.G. (audience video) version of this http://www.cure-concerts.de/concerts/1992-10-08.php

It's pretty good for a handycam from 1992

i think it's all right. i think she sounds less like Siouxsie on the live stuff. She also sounds a little bit like PJ Harvey to me. The band is made up of some very skilled musicians, imo.

The singer, Jenny Beth, looks a little bit like klaus Nomi in some pictures,

just listened to Blackstar a little bit, not blown away, my initial impression is that The Next Day is a lot better, catchier more melodic, but maybe it's a grower....

Playing Blackstar, and I think it's incredible. That last song is so perfect. Brilliant album.

it's weird, I didn't like Next Day a lot but this album resonates with me more than anything he's done since maybe Heathen or Outside.
