Since the moderatators aren't tech gurus
Maybe someone else will know this
Does this forum have multiple cookies? I have allowed the aintnoright.org cookie, but I still have to enter username and password, every time I check for new posts, despite checking the login automatically box. Is there another cookie I need to allow? I don't have a problem with this at a couple of other forums using this same software,

ROFL, sounds about right. Fucking tech support fuckers...
I found this same problem when going to a topic in safari on iPhone from an email notification in Gmail app on the same phone. Then it went away but still happens on random rare occasions.
I would suggest starting a new session of your browser, logging ou if you're in, killing browser then logging back in ensuring your browser is set up to save passwords. But I'm guessing you've done most of that at this point hence you coming to the "tech support" guys here.

I'm on a Windows7 desktop. I still use IE it's whatever version is most recent, (11?).
I've tried the others and like certain things about them, but always stick with IE for its cookie handling. So I'm not looking for a browser argument.
I don't have this problem on a couple other forums that appear to be using the same forum software.

Re: Since the moderatators aren't tech gurus
That didn't do it. But now I have to type in a lot of passwords again once.

I think maybe Angry Canine is actually a dog trying to use his owner's computer.

I can't stop laughing.
Re: Since the moderatators aren't tech gurus
Forgot where the ask for help thread is......so I have created a shared drive for the peeps I'm working for in Miami. My q is this.....After I upload, say an invoice from a purveyor to it's proper file, how do I alert a particular person or persons that said invoice has been uploaded?
Re: Since the moderatators aren't tech gurus
Forward them the link to the invoice? I use dropbox and you can share it from the site.
Re: Since the moderatators aren't tech gurus
Many have access to individual folders.....my problem is I don't want certain people simply guessing when an invoice is uploaded. So if I get a 10,000 dollar drop from a liquor company at 10 am one week but 2:30 the next I want to be able to alert my acct payable in real time when I upload that particular invoice.
Re: Since the moderatators aren't tech gurus
First, I don't know what kind of service you're using. Second, can't you look for the info yourself or in their FAQ? That's what I would do.
Re: Since the moderatators aren't tech gurus
By sharing, I didn't mean share a folder, I meant sending an e-mail to the person you want to know about your upload. That's what I do. I don’t know about your service. As I said, I would look in your service's FAQ page or actually just google "how to alert someone when I do an upload on ____".I want to be able to alert my acct payable in real time when I upload that particular invoice.
Re: Since the moderatators aren't tech gurus
Yes. I did that too. Was just reaching out. Many thanks.

Re: Since the moderatators aren't tech gurus
what system or method are you using to store the data?
Re: Since the moderatators aren't tech gurus
Google shared drive. The search I did said to go to tools then alert notifications. Tools only exist in the actual files uploaded not for folders. I think the invited people might have to set up their own alerts.
