Yep I was stoked the funniest part of the show is I overheard some young bucks asking why everyone was yelling Primus Sucks :lolol: :aoa:
:) noobs.

It's not often they play Welcome to this World live. One of my favourite Primus tunes. The sound when the slap part comes in after the tapping .... moehahahaha

Yeah, they just started playing WTTW this past year  , think it was played only 2 times prior. Been waiting for that one forever! Mrs. Blaileen and On the Tweek Again have been great addition to the recent sets as well.

What really sucks to me is that people keep repeating Primus Sucks, years after Les has said he no longer likes it.

I saw them back in August and some kids, might have been about 15 years old, tried getting a Primus sucks chant going and I just shook my head and they looked at me like I was an idiot that didn't get it

Anyways, I saw Tash Sultana last night and she is pretty awesome.

I took my partner to see Primus at Brixton when she was pregnant with our first. It must have been summer 2011. There was a long queue outside and lots of big clouds of ganja smoke which she wasn't very impressed with.

Then she hated the band and we left kinda early (she's cool but is very angry throughout pregnancy)!. Also, I didn't recognise any of the songs even though i have about 4 or 5 of their CDs!

Primus Sucks dude!

I really enjoyed it, the new album sounds great live and the lighting rig was superb. They had all this monitor cubes which changed every song and were lowered or raised. Very effective and quite stunning.

They did some really odd 'Trip Away' thing on 'Now that we're dead' (I think) where all the band got up and played on various drums. It was really dissappointing to be honest. Plus the sound cut out on EVERYONE half way through 'One' and they didn't come back on stage for about 5 minutes, but carried on where they left off. Lars was his usual twattish self and was playing FAR too fast on a couple of tracks most notably 'Fuel'. As it was in Birmingham (sorry, BIRMINGGGG-HAAAAAAM - thanks James) Kirk and Rob played a duet of War Pigs with the audience singing. They also played Diamond Head's 'Am I Evil' as they're from Stourbridge - good to see they appreciate the locals!

Overall 8/10. Great set list too.

Hardwired
Atlas, Rise!
Seek & Destroy
The Shortest Straw
Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
Now That We’re Dead
Dream No More
For Whom The Bell Tolls
Halo on Fire
War Pigs (instrumental)
Am I Evil?
Fuel
Moth Into Flame
Sad But True
One
Master of Puppets

Spit Out the Bone
Nothing Else Matters
Enter Sandman

Looks like at least one more U2 show when they play a week's worth of dates next May.

Yeah, I read that. I think it's too soon for another tour. I mean, how much more of the fans' money can these guys take, eh?!

I don't think they have too many big tours left in them and I wouldn't be surprised if they go dormant for about 4-5 years after next year's tour and wrap their career up with a final farewell/greatest hits type tour in 2023.

I'm a bit pissed that they're making fan club members re-up their annual subscription months early in many cases (including mine) to be able to participate in the pre-sale. Plus, a member can't carry over unused pre-sale codes from this year's tour. They're also using the "Fan Verified System" which means you have to link your Ticketmaster account with them as well as giving out a cell number so they can text you your pre-sale code which is really a way to harvest personal data.

That sounds like a reasonable prediction.

i guess they're getting in as much touring as possible before the health problems start kicking in for the band members.

Yes, you're correct. I forgot about Bono's recent health issues. I think I read that the inspiration for the latest album is about those health problems.

White Lighter for me is one of the best albums ever made.

Indeed, it's a brilliant "concept" record -- and I am a sucker for those. The new record is coming out at the beginning of next year, and I'm holding out for something equally essential. The first "movement" of the new record is streaming now:

Love Largo since the old days....owner is a fairly good pal (you may know him as well), and a really good guy....fierce protector of music and it's integrity. At the old place, you were removed if you interrupted the musicians in any way. He's a good player himself. Jon Brion, Colin Hay, and Fiona Apple are frequents there. Enjoy!

Don't know the owner, but I share your opinion on Largo. I used to go a lot when it was over by Canter's. I like what the Coronet has been doing but I have not been as much and though I like the space I don't find it quite as cozy as the original location.

No it isn't...stadium seating, etc. There is a small room just to the right as you enter the patio where Flanny brought some tables and part of the original bar where there is a microscopic stage (maybe the old Largo stage :hs: )for private parties that's nice. I have never been in it except to "tour" it with him...never to see a performance. At the old place, way back I went quite frequently as well. I spent quite a few drunk nights there...One was the year Spacey won the Oscar for whatever movie he beat Tim Roth for in Rob Roy (years ago  )....probably Usual Suspects...anyways, I thought TR was an amazing villain and actor in this flick and that Spacey was one dimensional and Roth got robbed etc :drink: :drink: :bored: :blah: :blah: :drink: :drink:...anyways, Spacey leans over my friends shoulder and stares right at me and tilts his head. Probably saved myself a fierce package grab....my friend too.

Finally this year they will stream the Corona Capital music festival. I assume they will show the principal acts.
Here's the line up for this weekend (Sábado= Saturday, Domingo= Sunday) and the YT channel.
