I'm going to one of the New York shows at Madison Square Garden- 18 June.

The Toronto Cure show has not been confirmed yet. I really hope it's not at the Amphitheatre.

Ah, nice. I didn't mind the amphitheatre Cure show I saw... the sun going down over the water.. purple sky... kinda gothic.. the sound was bad, of course... But better than the ACC.

Yeah, I'm not crazy about the ACC either. There aren't really any other options though. Unless they do an 8 night run at Massey Hall or the Sony Centre.
One of my issues with the Amphitheatre, poor sound aside, is the location of the venue. Going there is okay; it's the leaving that sucks. Everybody corralled like cattle to exit from the same place is really annoying!

Springsteen - mid March, final show of tour, final show at the LA Sports Arena before it's demolished.

On the fence for, probably game day decision:
Black Sabbath - LA Forum
Iron Maiden - LA Forum
The Cure - Hollywood Bowl
AC/DC - maybe Las Vegas or better, an SoCal arena show if one's announced

Savages are on tour in 2016, Pande, they're playing Denmark in march I think....lots of US dates as well but no LA show as far as I can tell, oddly enough I guess

Chelsea Wolf- May 17
Bestival - June 11 &12. My friend and I got pre-sale tickets on Friday based on only knowing that the headliners will be The Cure and Tame Impala. The 2 day pass with service charges was $167, which is pretty reasonable I think.
This morning the rest of the line-up was announced and I do not know who most of these people are.
I know Grimes, Jamie XX, Daughter and The Wombats. Oh, and The Twilight Sad..


I am curious about the day of the dead cocktail bus..

well....the only band on that lineup that i have heard of is the cure.

Tame Impala's last album is a masterpiece. So many beautiful moments in it.

I returned my tickets for the Animal Collective show I was going to because their last album is shit and they're only playing songs of that album in this tour. No bueno.

I've been thinking about going to that to see the Cure... but that lineup is so beyond my tastes at this point that I may not bother. I think that means I'm old...

I hate that I'm so old now that I only know and like old drawcard acts..... mind you it makes it easier to get into the festivals that i'm "forced" to go to. Just rock up an hour or two before the main band.. Easier to get through the gates and wander to the stage.. Means you miss out on being up close but you can't have everything.
