I'll know like 5 songs. But it'll be fun. And I'd have seen both living Beatles within 6 months. Crazy.

Re: Live shows in your agenda?
So...
I had numbered tickets and it usually takes me 30 minutes to get to the arena where Ringo was playing, so I left 80 minutes before the show, just in case there was traffic or something like that. It took me 100 minutes to get there. It was unbelievable. There was an accident near the arena, but c'mon... there was a guy lying on the street, surrounded by paramedics, but the goddamn scene took only ONE lane, and there were FOUR.
So anyway, I arrived when Ringo and his All Starr band were playing the third or fourth song. The show was OK, waaaaaaaaaaaay to much old-school rock & roll for me. A 5 minute keyboard solo?? REALLY??? "OMGOMGOMG, how awesome is that you are playing scales up and down with different sounds and using that bending stick!?!??!?!" Then, a 7 minute long guitar solo... again, scales up and down, slide up, slide down, very fast pull-offs...
However, everything was forgiven when they played the chords of the "Billy Shears" part of "With a Little Help..." it gave me goosebumps. When they played that song, "Yellow Submarine" and "Photograph", I just couldn't stop smiling.
One item less on the list of things I have to do in my life

Today: Alice in Chains and Faith No More.

Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Long story short: Alice in Chains took me by surprise, they were really really solid. They played the 3 songs I like (Nutshell, Angry Chair and Would?), and they played Would? incredibly slow and stoner-y, it was beautiful.
And FNM is just out of this world. What an incredible band, and the connection and intimacy they have with Chile is beyond absurd. Their performance of KFAD, with Trey Spruance on guitar, had some shaky moments, but they made it work. And we got a huge rarity: Absolute Zero.
Love that band. Love it.

Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Yeah I was at the SF show last year when Trannyshack opened up for them and FNM killed it. I flew out there for it because I wanted to see them so bad. Saw them in '92 when I was 11 as well and I have to say that last year's show was a lot better because I appreciated the music a lot more and they played a longer set.

Oh, and Duff McKagan joined Alice in Chains on guitar for Rooster.
I remember laughing inside, thinking "should I be excited because an ex-member of Jane's Addiction is onstage?"

Monster Magnet, November 28th - Antwerp
This must be my 10th Monster Magnet concert if I count right. It's a band that really knows how to kick ass, even now that Dave Wyndorf is a real fatass.

Both in Amsterdam. Not sure what to expect from Electric Six but really looking forward to the Gallagher gig. Love his solo album.

Saw the goth father-Peter Murphy- tonight W/She Wants Revenge...
Peter Murphy still looks and sounds good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The venue was totally packed. Doors opened at 8, my friends and I got there about 8:30 cuz we wanted to snag some seats(we're old) but the place was already 3/4 full!!
I didn't see anything posted from the Lee'sPalace show in Toronto yet...but here's Ziggy from lat night's show in NYC.

Re: Live shows in your agenda?
It's official...Radiohead will be playing here in April next year. Hope I can get a ticket for that show, and for a better seat, wish me luck!
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
He had some snug fitting trousers on tonight too. They really enhanced his package. I only noticed once I put my glasses on...
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Man, Prince showed the fans some love last night...3+ hours he played! 6 encores! I just checked for tickets for tonight's show and there are still some left for about$80 in a decent area. They must have just released them because for the last couple of weeks this price range was available only up in the rafters. The problem is that none of my friends want to go because it's at a large venue.
I really want to go, so I think I should just buy a ticket and go!

I would absolutely recommend going without reservation.

Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Prince is probably the weirdest kind of sexy guy I've ever seen.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
I may be going to see Megadeath and Motorhead, with Lacuna Coil.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
The show was FANTASTIC!! It was my 4th time to see Prince, and as usual he did not disappoint. No Maceo though...he had another concert engagement.
The show was shorter only 2 encores. I didn't mind I was still very happy.
The set list was pretty similar with a few differences. He opened the show with GOLD which was a nice surprise. As well, Mountains, Shhh, Alphabet St, a few others I can't think of at the moment. I was chatting with a couple who were at the Friday night show and they said last was a totally different show. Friday was more of a dance party and Sat night was more of a guitar night. Apparently he had ad more energy last night(the man is truly a tireless music machine) than the night before...band was tighter.
Here is a vid from youtube..I was sitting in the 4th row from the floor section almost at the point of the arrow. I found out too they dropped the prices to sell more tickets.

Re: Live shows in your agenda?
I don't know what a Lacuna Coil is. Motorhead will probably be fun. I saw Megadeth (there's no second "a") in what must have been 1989. It was with Testament and Judas Priest. I went with other people - the ticket was free.Adurentibus Spina wrote:I may be going to see Megadeath and Motorhead, with Lacuna Coil.
