Live shows in your agenda?

Hi, everyone! It's really nice to read all of ya, even though my brain still has a hard time distinguishing between Matz and Matov (and sometimes Mescal) and between guysmiley and I don't remember the other username (C-something).

Well, so... whatcha gonna see?

My calendar:

- November 4: Ringo Starr

- November 12-13: Maquinaria Festival. I will definitely see Faith No More (in fact, I bought my ticket because of them), Primus, Sonic Youth, and Gepe. I would be interested in catching a glimpse of Chris Cornell, Snopp Dogg, Megadeth and STP. Duff Mackagan's Loaded is also playing, but I'm not interested at all. And one more headliner is yet to be confirmed.

Oh, and I think today I'll get tickets for Roger Waters, who's coming in March to play The Wall.

yours truly...
nah.

:balls:

Faith No More, Primus and Sonic Youth. Not bad at all!

I didn't even know FNM still toured.

Hi Larry

Why were you banned from Xiola?

Hey!

I think FNM is performing some shows in South America, don't know if they've played in the States or Europe lately...

About your question, I'll answer it via PM... wouldn't want to start some unwanted events here :wiggle:

Sure, if I hear anything ... my buddy who recently worked for FNM usually works for Sonic Youth, so I'm curious to see if he tries to double dip for that show.

Today: Toby Keith :balls: (see, my job isn't all awesomeness)

Tomorrow : Moenia :noclue:

Sunday : side gig

Monday: WWE

Tuesday: side gig

Wednesday: Giants game

Thursday: side gig

Friday: Bud Fest (Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton, Doug E. Fresh, DJ Jazzy Jeff) :noclue:

Hey!

Sometimes it's good to shoot the name of local bands... there might be some good shit that could feed the hipster in me. Or, worst case scenario, something to laugh at :wiggle:

here's a couple of them

Brancaleone
http://grooveshark.com/#/s/48/3CDmgM?src=5

Banda de la muerte

De la gran piƱata

those three are pretty small bands, might get to play for a couple hundred most of their shows, and their big shows might attract 500/600 people.

then there's the bigger local acts which i might catch this year such as divididos:

or Indio Solari

That Indio Solari track was nice... loved the music, didn't dig the vocals too much.

Thanks for that!

I'm kind of amazed 2011 may be the slowest year for shows for me ever. The only show I've caught so far this year is U2 and that was a last minute decision. So far for the rest of the year, there is absolutely nothing I have a burning desire to see aside from Iggy and The Stooges at the Hollywood Palladium.

It was brilliant mate... i haven't done a pit like that for years... it was absolutely mental. 9th time i saw them and, yep, the last like you say. Word is that 2 of them fell out majorly and i gotta say that there wasn't too much closeness on show, but the performance was still excellent. Great band... just lost their way unfortunately.

Yeah they're still around & playing a Rich Russo show at the Bowery Electric. Rich Russo's radio show was (is) called Anything Anything. Show is only $10 with 2 local bands opening

BMSR is the only thing on my agenda, but it's my #1 show to see, so my agenda actually seems pretty great:

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLdF0-n3zkA[/youtube]

Otherwise it's just deafening bar bands, which, where I go, usually means jazz-funk freakout outfits.

*edit*

Gaaaah! Youtube embedding... :banghead:

LAME.

Is this all because of Romeo's "firewall" problem? Time to ban Romeo. :hehe:

ok..i will disable it then. the other code just stopped working it had nothing too do with romeo. i'm no expert but if someone has a working bbcode that embeds the videos like on xiola let me know.
