Live shows in your agenda?
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Was ozzy able to walk on his own, what song did they open with?
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
It was actually a really good show. The band sounded amazing and Ozzy was in pretty good form. He was a little off key in some songs, but mostly he was quite energetic for a senior citizen.clickie wrote:Was ozzy able to walk on his own, what song did they open with?
They opened with Black Sabbath.

Got a last minute freebie from a friend of mine who works at the amphitheatre.

Saw the Australian Pink Floyd Show the other night at Fox Theater in Oakland.

They sounded amazing. Great venue for this show.
I've seen them before but my little one hadn't and she is intrigued with PF so the tix
were a b-day gift in early spring and we finally got to go.
We'll be going to Jane's Addiction again this month in SF. Luckily we won't have to fight self entitled
hipsters for a place on the floor this time- got reserved seats.
My kid actually gets extra credit in band at school
for going to shows, showing the ticket stub and writing a review.
The teacher is going to know all of our musical tastes by the end of the school year! lol
We've got some musical theater on the agenda as well.
Beautiful - The Carol King Musical (I can't wait for this!)
The Fantastics
Also hoping to score tickets to Hamilton that will be in town early next year.

Oct 1 Warrior Soul and Sebastian Bach at Mulcahy's which is one stop on the train from me on Long Island. I'm a 10 minute walk from the station, 90 second train ride and the bar is outside the train station. This night is going to be ridiculous

had tickets to a concert tonight but instead of going im staying home on the couch with my dog and baseball. no regrets.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Bought tickets today to see Adam Ant in January. I've never seen him before, should be a fun show.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Roger Waters will be playing for free at our main square. I really hope it will be broadcasted online since I think it will be impossible for me to go on Sunday. For Paul McCartney it was full, so I'm guessing it will be like that for RW. I've only been once to these square shows and almost got crushed to death, I was still in my 20s, so not looking forward to this in my 40s. Maybe only for someone like Manu Chao.

Failure, playing Fantastic Planet start to finish, next week.
I'm a bit excited.

No problem. Everyone should know about this.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
I haven't gone to any show this year (just one festival to see Café Tacuba) since I'm saving money because I don't know where I'm going to be next year. However, just found out Devendra Banhart is coming in December. I've already skipped Radiohead and The Libertines shows (have already seen them both), but I haven't seen Devendra ever and he will be playing at this really nice venue. Have to check ticket prices $

Won tix to see Dandy Warhols on Saturday night. Last time I saw them they played an amazing setlist, but sounded like shit. I was so bummed. Hopefully this time is better.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
They just kind of sound like that. Courtney's voice is shredded from years of smoking and there's something off about their sound, but I can't pinpoint what it is. I think they have fuzzed and muffled their guitar tones a tad too much in the last few years. Who knows. But they aren't playing as "clean" as they used to anyway.esqfool wrote:Won tix to see Dandy Warhols on Saturday night. Last time I saw them they played an amazing setlist, but sounded like shit. Still an amazing show though. I catch them every time they are within driving distance of me.

Tonight I saw my buddy Jesse Dayton, the Supersuckers, and Rev Peyton at Antone's and I got to hang with the one and only Gary Clark Jr while taking in the Rev. Sometimes I REALLY fucking love Austin.

I haven't seen The Supersuckers in close to 10 years but they were a lot of fun back then.Juana wrote:Tonight I saw my buddy Jesse Dayton, the Supersuckers, and Rev Peyton at Antone's and I got to hang with the one and only Gary Clark Jr while taking in the Rev. Re: Live shows in your agenda?
They were a shit ton of fun the other night and Jesse was sitting in with them on guitar as they have been on tour with each other, so it was a great show.Pandemonium wrote:I haven't seen The Supersuckers in close to 10 years but they were a lot of fun back then.Juana wrote:Tonight I saw my buddy Jesse Dayton, the Supersuckers, and Rev Peyton at Antone's and I got to hang with the one and only Gary Clark Jr while taking in the Rev. Haven't seen them since the 90's at a hootenanny
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Eddie was looking a lot better than the last time I saw them and it was just great to see them with Jesse and co especially at Atone's which is a great sounding room. Always a fun live show with them.kv wrote:Haven't seen them since the 90's at a hootenanny
