Hey Six7, let's start that band we always talked about...

#1 Post by NYRexall » Sat Nov 19, 2011 6:03 am

We can start here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nine-Inch-Nails ... 336e423132

I'll go half if you'll go half. I know you got some money. Me too. Think of all those abandoned warehouses off the turnpike that runs through PA and Ohio, which could be converted into a rendezvous point.

I'm game, are you?

I have no money, but I'm formally throwing my hat into the game. I'll help set up the studio, engineer, and run the board. While I can't contribute, financially, I'll work for free... as long as I can sleep on a couch... and eat all of your Triscuits.
:tiphat:

Addendum: My only additional requests are a bathtub and toaster... in case of emergency.

Yeah, you're right, it's a horrible idea. I mean unless our band plays some blues riffs through a wah peddle, it wouldn't be any good. :eyes:

Yes. And then after our third record you can shit talk us because we only write songs about our wives and kids instead of something that matters.

I've known Joe for about 10 years now

and you are....who, exactly?

Isn't that the whole point of forming a band? To take different influences and musical opinions and meet somewhere in the middle, to see what you can create on your own? R.E.M. thought the Beatles were essentially worthless, and look at what they achieved.

and wind up sounding like Perry Farrell and every other schlock rock band on the planet right now?

where's your passion? your vision? Even Hendrix would be working off a Macbook if he were alive today

fuck that shit.

You're not going to talk me into the NIN studio by telling me Hendrix would record on a Macbook. Hendrix is way more of a Windows user. Simple. Boring. Underpowered.

In fact, this already isn't working for me. I think we should go our separate ways. We can tell the fans it was "creative differences"

Creative differences, my ass.

Just admit that you're broke and don't have the scratch because you spent your allowance on booze, drugs and expensive hookers.

Going to have to jump ship on the whole Hendrix issue though, because the dude was anything but boring. Was playing Electric Ladyland in the house the other day and even my neighbours -- who don't speak a word of english -- knew what was going on and wanted to come in and listen.

Well, i spent quite a lot on all those things, but i still have plenty to afford this studio.

Your neighbors are probably from a country that just got electricity.
