Btw strange take incoming...the 2008-2010 Lakers C's era is not covered in legacy mode of the 2k22 NBA video game series...there are no laker teams from that era due to player rights of Ron Artest and Andre Bynum...no kids play those teams vs each other...it's a lost era...kids always say shit like the Lakers C's hasn't mattered since the 70-80s...I see that shit all the time on social media...younger fans, 2010 was 12 years ago...nobody thinks of Kobe and pau...its magics Lakers then Kobe Shaq then LeBron...strange how much pull on a legacy a video game can have

Yeah that was a big deal seeing if Kobe could win a title without Shaq. I remember after Boston beat the lakers in 2008
supposedly Phil Jackson ran into (I think it was Paul Pierce) out and about and Phil told him personally their team wants to
meet you again in the finals next season for some revenge. Everyone I knew who pays attention to basketball
was into those match-ups.

I give the Celtics props for having a 50/1 odds shot at winning the title at the start of the season to where they are sitting right now. Maybe SR's little blankie is good luck.

Most NBA seasons playing all 82 games
16 - Stockton
14 - AC Green
10 - Karl Malone
10 - Randy Smith
9 - Michael Jordan
9 - Gary Payton
9 - Andre Miller
9 - Derek Fisher
9 - Otis Thorpe
...........................................................................
1 - Lebron James
538 has C's at 80% to win the chip. ESPN BPI has them as heavy faves. Vegas has Dubs. Either way, this years Champion will be built, not bought for the 2nd year in a row. That's a refreshing trend.
All championships are bought though... but the Celtics defense has gelled.

I probably posted this before but it cracks me up MJ playing ping pong and Larry Bird passed out drunk in the corner.

Looking forward to game 2 tonight! I guess I'm on the Boston wagon.
I've only watched a handful of Warriors games this season. I don't really feel connected since they're in the West.

It's an odd feeling....c's are 3 away...but oh well...as a Lakers fan there is nothing we can do about it, that ship sailed...so this isn't stressing me out...which sucks lol
Plus it's golden state vs boston ...it's def not watch tv for me....grats to the champ

Sounds like KV is already conceding a defeat.

Nice Arty! There’s a lot on this C team that’s right for the NBA. Should be a great game. My kiddo ended up going so I’m getting cool pics. And, I don’t think I’ve missed a finals since…a long time ago. I too sometimes find a team I like. I could easily rooted for the Greek. Love him

I feel that because for the longest time the big O and Cap weren't on the Bucks championship teams on the video games by name.
Also KV you know this is punishment for our 12 years of the blank banner, I'm hoping for 13 of it, however I fear this might be the year SR is lifted from the banner lol

From a die-hard Bulls fan, it feels so strange that I'm as excited for the Celtics as I am. The chemistry with Taytum/Brown/Smart/Time Lord/Horford/White/Grant/etc is so undeniable.
I also still may be a little lowkey jealous of Boston landing Udoka

They are a fun team, but also exasperating. I didn't follow closely the interview process, but from afar I was pulling for Becky Hammon. I think I was infatuated with continuing the tradition of breaking barriers in the NBA. Ime has definitely worked out.
On another note, watched Hustle last night .... highly recommended to anyone, but especially to those who appreciate the game and the Association in general.
