So, does the NHL have to pay royalties to the artists for playing their songs during games?

Just curious to know how it works...never thought about it before.

Yeah the Leafs have won their first 3 too. It's not a good indication that they'll do well the rest of the season. Last year they won the first 4 and fizzled out after that.

Guess I could look on ESPN but how to the Kings look this year? Anyone know? Not talking standings but in overall play. Guess I will have to get back into hockey.

Die hard Flyers fan here. The Kings looked pretty good when they beat my team the other night. Mike Richards with an assist in OT to beat his old team, I was fucking pissed.

I think the Flyers look very solid this year & could make a run at the cup. I think the team that will surprise people will be the Sabres.

based on tweets from Eric Avery and Wil Wheaton it looks like the Kings are legit.

I had a feeling Richards was gonna do something special to burn you guys. Still though, with all that talent you guys got, Flyers are gonna be scary for a while, this year included.

This is sort of NHL related, I guess..

Wow check out Wayne Gretzky's daughter.

Paulina Gretzky, whose father is hockey icon Wayne Gretzky, posted racy photos to Twitter. (Paulina Gretzky/Twitter.com )

Wayne Gretzky's daughter reportedly has posted her last tweet.

Paulina Gretzky, who turns 23 on Dec. 19, shut down her Twitter account last weekend amid speculation that her photographs were a tad too racy for the hockey icon.

"Having a nice sit down dinner with my dad about social media..haha #SIKEEE (sic)," Paulina tweeted prior to closing her account.

Paulina, the eldest of Wayne's five children with actress Janet Jones, posted several photos of herself partying at nightclubs, tanning poolside and striking suggestive poses with girlfriends.

Websites like theCHIVE and COED Magazine published photo galleries featuring her most provocative snapshots from Twitter.

The aspiring starlet posed professionally on the cover of Flare in 2005, but has struggled to establish herself as a model, singer or actress.

On Saturday, she tweeted: "Taking a break from Twitter for a bit. Happy Holidays!!! xoxo"

sooooo many hockey fans here this thread hasn't been hit all year yet...lets talk LA kings ( ok i admit it, even though my name kv which is short for kings vikes which related to the la kings...ya..no..i am a bandwagon kings fan for sure...i gave up on hockey after the lockout years back)

kings are killing it! to be honest just started watching them once the playoffs started and i couldn't name more then 3 kings players before that and have only watched 1 full game in years ( one i went to last year) they look so bad ass though they score a shit load of short handers and own people 8-1 in the playoffs knocking of the number 1 and 2 seed...pretty amazing for an 8 seed and even though it wouldn't mean any where near as much to me as when i was a die hard season tix holder...man i hope they win and i don't hurt myself falling off the bandwagon if they lose

go kings go ( btw i have always loved the old "black out the forum"(now staples) deal where instead of everyone wearing white or the team color...everyone wears solid black head to toe..it just looks bad ass and is intimidating..i dig it that is all...btw fuck canaduh you don't even have teams left hahahahahahahahahah ha

think it's the first time in 16 years that no canadian teams are in. that's okay. there's at least a dozen canadian players on each nhl team anyway, so it is like watching a canadian team.

Kings whipped my Blues ass. I went to about 25 games this year and the Kings were the best team I saw all year hands down. Impressive I must say. Should be a great series with Phoenix. It would be nice to see Phoenix in the Cup though b/c of how much shit their fans have been through.

Fuck I hate KV, I really do. Kings are 10-1 in the playoffs and all of a sudden he likes them again. I guess because the Lakers now suck focus has been shifted to the Kings. Showing that fans of LA teams all have strong taped ankles from all the band wagon jumping.

it's amazing they have lost one game in the playoffs as an 8 seed beating the 1, 2 and up 3-0 on the 3 seed

Yeah I was yelling, I mean I remember in '93 too but I did like the Devils too from when they Swept DET always hated DET. But now its okay to see Marty not get his name on there again if the Kings bring it back!

yeah i liked patrik elias when he was the young gun and when they beat the ducks in game 7 to win it like a year or 2 before the lockout...people were saying it might be better for the kings to face jersey because of the aging brodeur...was def hoping the rangers would win....great game you can tell these two teams are well matched but damn jersey looks soo much bigger then us
