Turning 40 wasn't as bad as turning 30.
Also, I became a big fan of Thunder
Thunder is an Australian masked professional wrestler (referred to as a luchador enmascarado in Mexico) currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). Thunder arrived in Mexico August of 2012 and began training under various professors for CMLL. He debuted in early 2013 portraying a tecnico ("Good guy") wrestling character. After a lengthy time off due to injury, Thunder returned in August of 2014 as a Rudo (professional wrestling) ("bad guy"). He is one of only a few Australian wrestlers to work in Mexico. Thunder's real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans.

He actually got his mask ripped off last night, but he covered his face when he left the ring.

There was also a match between 'mini' wrestlers, but I swear they were as tall as me. Lucha libre never fails to put me in a great mood

Supreme Court Allows Nationwide Health Care Subsidies
WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that President Obama’s health care law allows the government to provide nationwide tax subsidies to help poor and middle-class people buy health insurance, a sweeping vindication that endorsed the larger purpose of Mr. Obama’s signature legislative achievement.

The 6-to-3 ruling means that it is all but certain that the Affordable Care Act will survive after Mr. Obama leaves office in 2017, and will give it a greater chance of becoming an enduring part of America’s social safety net.

For the second time in three years, the law survived an encounter with the Supreme Court. But the court’s tone was different this time. The first decision, in 2012, was fractured and grudging, while Thursday’s ruling was more assertive.

The plumbing job I thought was going to be big turned out to be fairly small.

My mother received a notice from the city utilities department stating that her water consumption was at least three times the average household in her area! The last bill she received was almost $200(for 4 months). This is about $80 more than usual. There were some large rate increases to water, sewage, and garbage collection, so she just figured it was related to that. When I went over to check out the pipes in the basement, and under all the sinks, and walls for water damage, I didn't see anything except what looked like excessive condensation on the copper pipes. Also, the toilet in the basement was constantly running. Whenever I go over, I don't use the toilet in the basement, so didn't notice it. My mother doesn't often use it either. I asked her about it and she said it was running like that for about two or three months. Why shed didn't mention it to me, I don't know. Anyway, I called a plumber and he said the excessive condensation was due to the toilet constantly running. He also showed me the little dial on the water meter that was spinning around and around. I didn't know but the spinning dial indicated that the water was in use. The fix was just replacing the insides of the toilet tanks and he added some new coil pipe to the shutoff valve. Oh, and the toilets in my mom's place are vintage American Standard from 1978 and 1979( I learned you can see the year they're made on the inside of the toilet bowl cover).

After the insides of the toilet bowls(upstairs+downstairs) were replaced the little dial on the water meter wasn't spinning around and around anymore.

The plumber informed me that a running toilet can waste the equivalent of about 8-10 full bathtubs of water per day ! :yikes: No wonder her bill went up so much!

Hey guys..............today is Mockbee's Birthday!

Normally he doesn't really do anything, but I am throwing him a surprise party right here, and all 25-30 of you are invited!
I think he has plans to take a ferry ride on the Bay, take a hike, go look at some windows at a showroom, and see that new Brian Wilson movie.
He seems happy to be 38, he definitely wasn't so sure about 37.

Oh.....and bring your doggy friend if you wish, I love company!
Go here if you don't have one yet:

On another note, got news today that the second referee gave his/hers opinion on my article and from what my advisor told me, they just want some clarifications on the gpr part.

And happy very belated 40th to you! And congrats on your soccer  (referee? ) article

I am looking forward to it myself!

and pssssssst.......... if you have any gpr machine at your ready, I would sincerely appreciate borrowing one for an afternoon for my site, I could have used it earlier in the year when I forked over $6k for a guy to dig two holes and tell me about them........ but I still need a little more info........ :hehe:

Unfortunately, the gpr we used was borrowed. I know how it works in theory. Still need a crash course on how to use it (I saw a gpr that helps you find pipes underground and another one for electric tubes and pipes inside walls, looked pretty easy to use and to interpret. My advisor recently acquired one to find earthquake survivors. Can't wait to try that one. Btw, we use these gprs http://sensoft.ca). What I want is a nano quadcopter. Saw one from Dji at a mall for 50 bucks. It included remote control and a camera  That would make an excellent bday present

I don't know why we call them referees in Spanish, just read their comments, they're reviewers. Potatoe, potato
Need to do some rewriting but I have my hopes high...
Comments from the ASR Co-editor for Special Issues

1. GPR should be identified in the abstract.
2. Some of the references need improvement. Titles in Spanish should also be given in English. (yeah, I thought original language was ok, guess not).

P.S. I found the paper fascinating.

Is it long? Confidential/written in science speak?

I'd love to read it if its for laypeople as well via PM or whatever. :noclue:

I assume it's about your temple research at Teōtīhuacān.

Got approved today to get solar panels which will 100% cover my electrical needs and get me off the Edison teat. It's a 20 year lease, so I pay a much lower rate (I often go into 4th tier especially during the Summer) to the provider but the panels, install and maintenance is not my responsibility or cost. Better yet, I'm getting a completely updated and much-needed circuit/fuse box for free from Edison Electric which saves me about $3k right off the top.
