So, when is the housewarming party? Maybe we can have my 50th birthday party there in 2017? :P
Muchas gracias, Señorita!

Well 2017 would be my 40th, and about the time this venture should be wrapping up. So, sounds great!

You can bring a native plant from this list as a housewarming gift.

I have to get 89 native shrubs and 21 native trees planted within a year....... :noclue:

Interestante. No sabía.

Had a really nice lunch with a couple of former co-workers, followed by a walk in the park to look at the cherry blossoms.

What a glorious day! The weather is superb...sunny and warm. 24C

Yes, I guess they are monks. I liked how they looked among the blossoms and took a pic.

Goddamn... best feeling in the world!

Law school just about ruined me for school altogether. I just have zero desire to ever be in school again after going through that experience.

Not that it was so awful - as much as it just exhausted my interest in the process, if that makes sense?

At any rate, enjoy your accomplishment. Things didn't necessarily work out the way I might have imagined before I began, but nothing can tarnish my pride in finishing.

I'll add my congrats!

It's really something to be done with school for good. (you are done aren't you, you aren't doing something crazy....like more school are you? )

Is this your first time in your entire life where you do not have school on the horizon in the near future?????

If so, welcome to reality! :tiphat:

My best piece of advice, not that you are looking for any, is that all of that idealism and passion from school typically gets squelched pretty quickly in the big working world of systems and idiocy. But I will have to say 5-10-15 years down the road if you keep your eyes open and collect experiences, there is an outlet for that creative soul in the professional world, you just have to be very patient and shrewd but anyone can get there. There is just so, so, so much crap to wade through on the journey, but that's all part of the fun....... :thumb:

Leave it up to us pragmatists to take all the fun out of the accomishment....

I've heard that you should take the bar ASAP or that schoolin just kinda fades. I could be wrong. With Architecture its kind of the opposite you have to do three years internship to collect credits before sitting for the ARE, and that's with no bathroom breaks . ........

The other day I was sitting on the floor in the spare bedroom and I had a hanger in my hand. I looked up at the wardrobe and thought "I wonder if I could chuck this and get it to hook onto the hanger bar thingy?" So I chucked it up and whilst it didn't land where I wanted it to, the end result did surprise & please me:

Turning 40 wasn't as bad as turning 30.
Also, I became a big fan of Thunder
Thunder is an Australian masked professional wrestler (referred to as a luchador enmascarado in Mexico) currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). Thunder arrived in Mexico August of 2012 and began training under various professors for CMLL. He debuted in early 2013 portraying a tecnico ("Good guy") wrestling character. After a lengthy time off due to injury, Thunder returned in August of 2014 as a Rudo (professional wrestling) ("bad guy"). He is one of only a few Australian wrestlers to work in Mexico. Thunder's real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunder_(luchador)
He actually got his mask ripped off last night, but he covered his face when he left the ring.

There was also a match between 'mini' wrestlers, but I swear they were as tall as me. Lucha libre never fails to put me in a great mood

Supreme Court Allows Nationwide Health Care Subsidies
WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that President Obama’s health care law allows the government to provide nationwide tax subsidies to help poor and middle-class people buy health insurance, a sweeping vindication that endorsed the larger purpose of Mr. Obama’s signature legislative achievement.

The 6-to-3 ruling means that it is all but certain that the Affordable Care Act will survive after Mr. Obama leaves office in 2017, and will give it a greater chance of becoming an enduring part of America’s social safety net.

For the second time in three years, the law survived an encounter with the Supreme Court. But the court’s tone was different this time. The first decision, in 2012, was fractured and grudging, while Thursday’s ruling was more assertive.
