I just had to put a light sweater on because I feel a little chilled. My feet are cold too.

I know it sounds strange, but it's been really hot and humid, I welcome the cool.

My wife saw a deal online for a new camera. I went to the store and they had one in stock when it's normally an online only item. Instant gratification.

I am off today.

Right now I am enjoying a some coffee and a leisurely breakfast.

I was sent an email with some pictures of myself and people I haven't seen in a long time. It made me think about how blessed I am to have made it to 2011. Just waiting for the festivities to start and to light the grill up.

I had a fantastic afernoon in a park with some friends.

We brought some food and blankets and just hung out, eating, drinking, talking, relaxing, and just enjoying. One of the beautiful things about the afternoon was that the park was packed with people doing the exact some thing. Some people were playing guitars, others drumming, some people playing frisbee and hackee sack, dogs running about. We were all on the same wave length-enjoying the last days of summer.

I got free Primus albums today and found out my friend and a dude that plays bass in the "punk-billy" band I play in is good friends with the guy that plays bass for III (Hank 3) and get to hang out with them on Tuesday I think

I listened to the new St. Vincent album on NPR last night to drift out into dreamland (or nightmare-world, depending on who you are) and listened to it all morning... I really like it... but this of course means that my testosterone is officially gone.

I finally got around to trying smaller sticks, today. I was surprised, but Vic Firth just came out of nowhere and knocked it out of the park. So, now I have some groovy little jazz fusion sticks. They're the best smelling sticks I've ever played too. I've actually been sniffing them. Mmmmm...

and I had nachos. No matter how old I get, cheese melted on tortilla chips just always makes me happy.
