I hate goddamned leaf blowers. It's the lazy man's broom, haha. My neighbor uses one every day to blow off his driveway at about 7am like clockwork, the dirt and dust inevitably settling on my cars.

My mom catching a last minute cancellation and getting her vaccine today
Re: What made your day today?
I bought some delightful, yellow tulips today. #selfcare
Re: What made your day today?
As of yesterday I have lost 81 pounds.
Decades of depression has been a motherfucker, but this time spent sheltering has been good for me.
I'm still 19 pounds away from my goal weight. The finish line is in sight now though

Congrats Crater!
I have no idea what it's like to watch my weight...
Well I am damn skinny and have eaten like a horse since I was a kid but never gained weight, same with my uncles.
What I really have to watch is my cholesterol, meaning limiting my favorite food, Ice Cream....

Re: What made your day today?
What a great day yesterday!
It was a crisp, clear and cold day, odd for late March, and it had just snowed in the mountains, so I took a trip to snowshoe partway up Hood. It just took 2-3 hours to get up the mountain from the highway, and then about 30 minutes to get down...
I've only done snowshoe a couple times, but man, I think I am hooked! This COVID time and less work has really got me out and about this last year on my boots and kayak as well... it's been awesome.

yeah kickass photos dude! livin the life ...
Re: What made your day today?
thanks. I thought they turned out phenomenol as well, and really represented the experience so I wanted to share.
Its really a trip to try something brand new with no expectations and see where it takes you. I got some snowshoes at a secondhand store for $30 and used my ski poles (haven't been skiing in over a decade - too expensive for the experience....and waaaaay to many people ) and just found a known trail that I suspected would garner good views. I kept going and going and going up till It didn't seem prudent to go any further. I actually got up to the exposed rock escarpment ridge, under cloud cover, 3/4 the way up the 2nd photo. Made sure I took basic precautions, checked weather forecast, had rope and ice axe, never travelled under/near sketchy cornices, made sure if I were to fall off the ridge that I would generally slide hundreds of feet into a heap at the bottom of a gully that I could hike out of, let somebody know where I was going and kept track of time. Only thing I forgot was sunscreen. Now my face is completely cheeto orange with a pasty white stripe across my forehead where my bandana headband was....
Third time trying snowshoeing...what a rush.....
Waiting for people, promotions, money, approval, appropriateness, or inspirational feelings is a waste of time. We all have our own dramas we are dealing with.....no sense in having someone else's drama dictate your life. Whenever you can, get some gumption, take some basic precautions and just go!
Whatever it is you've been day dreaming about...

Re: What made your day today?
I hung out in the park for the first time in over a year. The weather was perfect today:24C sunny, with a little wind cloud.
Met up with a few friends, had socially distanced drinks and soaked up the sun; sights and sounds of life. We were sitting near some tennis courts and the thwack of tennis balls hitting rackets was really comforting to me..lol. People hanging out, kids, dogs, not too crowded, the ice cream truck, doobies..really relaxing. #content

Re: What made your day today?
Officially 24 hours away from the soft opening and grand opening on Tuesday, pretty stoked, it has been a long time coming
Re: What made your day today?
Just took delivery on a Tesla. Really the first time I have ever sprung for a "nice" car. It's a nice car.
Re: What made your day today?
It's impressive. I can't stop thinking it's just a super computer. It's my wife's primary. I am still content with my hooptie Hunyadi. We got rid of an old mini convertible. That car was dysfunctional and a real pain in the ass to drive, and with about 200k on it was literally falling apart.
Re: What made your day today?
Yeah my primary is a 2017 Jeep Cherokee and I'm happy with it, the wife likes the nicer stuff I just drive from A to B and like to have a smooth drive that is pretty much it for me. Bonus is the built in generators other than that I'm good. Especially with coming out of the pandemic so to speak out here there have been a rash of thefts and break-ins for nicer cars in the Austin area. I only have 26k miles on the Jeep namely because if I can ride my bike to where ever I need to go I usually do that.SR wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 7:30 amIt's impressive.
