I only take the parcels marked "fragile," "perishable," or "wait until Christmas to open."

Woohoo!! Look what came all the way from Australia.....I wonder who that could be?!

NauseaRockPig, muchisimas gracias! The book of Aussie slang is suuuuuuuuuuuperb! I say a lot of those as it is! I didn't realise that the word 'Dinkum' originated from where I live now.
Dinkum was British Midlands dialect for 'work' and 'fair dimkum' is probably derived from the idea of 'a fair days dinkum'
Weird. Fair dinkum! There are some belters in there. I did use one on here a few weeks ago, 'Buckley's chance'. I love that phrase. I will endeavor to learn some of the more obscure ones. The Vegemite is wicked as I had only just recently run out of Marmite, so I had it on toast this morning. Even though I've been to Oz twice I had never tried it. It has a milder taste to marmite and tastes just as great. The honey won't last long in my house either and one of the Tasmanian coasters now sits pride of place at my work.

Of course....the Jane's card rests in my lounge at home.

Great gifts! :wiggle: :thumb:

Is "Aussie" the Australian word for 'Ostrich'? This is the only way I can make sense of the cover of that book. It's a really bad visual pun, right?

Really nice gift though.

Got mine last night, all the way from America's hat. :dunce:
Thanks so much Artemis, very cool gifts. I really dig the shirt, and it fits great! The socks will come in handy when I go snowboarding this winter, and the mustards look delicious, I cant wait to try them! I collect magnets from places I travel to, so now I have an excuse to make it up to the great white north!

Thanks again

No but there is was a character on a really bad Australian variety TV show called Hey Hey It's Saturday that was called Ossie Ostrich https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ossie_Ostrich

TBH I'm not sure why there's an ostrich on the cover.. it must be something typically bad like that. lol... Maybe Bandit can enlighten us after he pores over book some more..

Wally, I'm happy you like the mustard and transportation themed gifts I sent.
After I sent the socks it occurred to me that you probably wouldn't have need for such heavy socks in a warm place;glad you 'll be able to use them for your snowboarding trip.

Mustard porn! I couldn't make out the label, but with some Googling, I found out you received two of Kozlik's finest, out of 34 flavors(!), including epic-sounding delights like Italian Mostarda, Niagara Classic, and Black Harp (the first ingredient on every jar is mustard seed- always a good sign!) Wally, what flavors did you get?

Awesome gifts, Artemis! :thumb:

I can only imagine it is a really bad pun. The only place with an ostrich in the book is a man riding one and the slang is "Not enough brains to give himself a headache" meaning stupid.

Love the gifts from Artemis Wally, that T-shirt is great.

Cool gifts as well. I'm currently wearing the boxer shorts Artemis sent me two or three years ago. They still caress my special place exactly like they did on the first day.

I got the Triple Crunch, which looks to be completely unground mustard seeds, along with some whiskey and honey, and Amazing Maple. I'm having sausages tonight, anxious to try them!

oh, and
Sent, fuckers!
