Re: So, uh, seen any good movies lately?
that's what i'm waiting to find out. i have a bunch of business trips coming up that may interfere with this. it would be sort of cool to have a line in a (probably shitty) movie with tom hanks.Artemis wrote:hey, that's cool, creep!

Re: So, uh, seen any good movies lately?
you would also get a credit in the movie.Artemis wrote:hey, that's cool, creep!

i'd be pretty thrilled to see my name roll up in the credits at the end of a film.
Re: So, uh, seen any good movies lately?
I hate Tom Hanks, but it does sound cool. Hope you can do it...
Re: So, uh, seen any good movies lately?
Do it, creep. That would be a great story for the ladies.

"I Saw The Devil"
Just fuckin' wow. Probably the most intense, insane serial killer type movie ever made.

Wow, yesterday i watched a documentary from 2008 called "Roboter essen kein Sauerkraut" (Robots don't eat Sauerkraut),
this is a documentary about the beginnings of german rockmusic and includes contributions from bands like Amon Düül II, Embryo, Popol Vuh, Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Birth Control,
Ton Steine Scherben, Guru Guru, Can, Kraftwerk, Eloy, Jane, Grobschnitt, Kraan,
Witthueser & Westrupp, Scorpions, Lucifer's Friend, Frumpy, Udo Lindenberg....
Very interesting especially for me as it includes my fave bands from that time: Grobschnitt, Can, Birth Control, Eloy, Kraftwerk.
It's availalbe only in german language but it's worth watching just for the music.
Here's a link to watch it online:

i watched "the descendants" tonight. i'm a big fan of hawaii so i wanted to see it. it was a different movie than i thought it would be. i expected a little more humor. it was pretty depressing. still worth seeing.

Isn't George Clooney nominated for an Oscar?
I recently saw Margin Call which was pretty good.
Also Albert Nobbs with Glen Close.

this was a good doc... i thought it was put together well, and seeing what happened to Jack Rebney piqued my curiosity...

Saw this movie last week
It's from 2 years ago, but I didn't get to see it in theaters, directed by Diego Luna (the other guy who appears in Y tu Mamá También). The kid who plays Abel was so great, looking forward to more movies with him, if he sticks with acting.

I just watched The Artist. I don't get all the hype It was just okay to me. If you take out the dog, I wasn't entertained at all.
I think the Descendants was much better (and Midnight in Paris)

Re: So, uh, seen any good movies lately?
I saw The Ides of March. It is an absorbing (albeit discouraging) behind the scenes look at a Democratic Presidential campaign. I did pick up on a liberal bias (oh - that damn liberal media ), which is why I think they focus on a Democratic candidate; it would have been overkill with a Republican candidate. Overall, I thought it was a good movie.

I watched Moneyball last night. I thought it was excellent. Howewever, I am a baseball fan which I'm sure helped me appreciate the movie more than I would have otherwise.

I just watched this on Friday night. I'm not a baseball fan either and I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Great cast and performances and learning about how these guys really changed the game was cool.Adurentibus Spina wrote:I am not a baseball fan and I thought that was a great movie.hokahey wrote:I watched Moneyball last night. I finally got around to watching "Tree Of Life" this weekend. Probably one of the more beautifully filmed movies I've seen in a long time. Really challenging to sit straight through but there were whole segments I'll be watching endless times in the future.
