Re: Secret Santa?
on an non-bitchy topic, Mescal your little one is beautiful! so sweet.
Re: Secret Santa?
I have sent three postcards from Mexico to the US. Two of them took almost 50 days to arrive and the other took about 70 days......
Most likely it will eventually arrive, but you probably could have walked it to the destination faster.
Count your blessings though, I sent a postcard from Spain and it took 93 days to arrive in the US.

It's his third Secret Santa :)
They do grow very fast ...
Really Happy you enjoyed the gifts! As for my secret santa, do not fret - I have not been home in Washington D.C. for nearly 3 weeks, but I'll be checking in later today!
Re: Secret Santa?
Yup, next year I'm sending my package between Sept.- Oct. But seriously, this is just crazy.mockbee wrote:I have sent three postcards from Mexico to the US. Two of them took almost 50 days to arrive and the other took about 70 days......

LOL. I see that I asked the same thing last year. But, if anyone wants to make a tax shelter . . .

Those are pretty thoughtful, really really cool.
As a side note, my Reddit secret santa gift arrived today and it's in a country nearby my ANR receiver's... so I'll keep my fingers crossed for this week.

Re: Secret Santa?
Finally! I had to pick up my SS box at the post office because I was away when it arrived, but it was worth the wait! (And fortunately they still had it at the post office)
My presents came inside this Long Island tote bag with those cute poinsettias.
The loot
Back: Scentsy, a ceramic candle warmer with a holiday candle collection from my SS's hometown.
Snow in a can and magazines from the Hamptons and LI.
Front: Chocolate honey truffles and honey from Catskill Provisions. Plus, a bottle of LIV strawberry sorbetta liqueur.
Xmas card in Spanish (thought that was too damn sweet!), an almond sugar cookie and chocolate dipped strawberry from The Secret Garden.
Tshirt, P4P single and VHS show from Mr. Cheapo (my SS wanted to send me something Perky related)
Map of Long Island with the places for each gift (plus a letter in which my SS detailed every one of them)
My SS is Sue!! Thank you very much for the gifts. I loved them all
Since I had to go to the post office, I found out they were selling a series of stamps of my favorite Mexican wrestler.
So this is my Three Kings day present to me
Hope every one had great holidays! and looking forward to next year's Secret Santa xo

Re: Secret Santa?
FINALLY!!! Like it was said, I could have brought it there faster myself!
So glad you liked it and it got there intact, especially the LIV bottle.
Next time maybe we can draw names in September, I know that takes a little fun out of it but it takes the stress out too
Ok I feel better now, that missing package was a thorn in my side. Nice of your post office to hold onto it though.

Oh perkana, I wanted to mention that my first inclination was to get you tickets for Café Tacuba but I didn't know your schedule to choose a show and couldn't figure out the Mexican Ticketmaster site, way confusing!
Also searched high and low for 'Re' on vinyl or a Café Tacuba tour tshirt or memorabilia, no dice. Not anything good anyway.
I really loved doing this, it was fun and I love giving gifts
Cheers to a great 2015 and next year's SS

Re: Secret Santa?
People still to receive:
Chaos
Warped
Larry B
Nausearockpig
*Perhaps the senders can try to follow up on the status of their package.
I know that one of the gifts was sent right around Christmas, so of course it is late.
Larry's usually arrives around the middle of January or later.

Re: Secret Santa?
That was very sweet of you! I'm just happy to get them after all the unnecesary drama (another reason I don't like big religious celebrations like the Virgin's, I thought nobody worked, but the post office)Sue wrote:Oh perkana, I wanted to mention that my first inclination was to get you tickets for Café Tacuba but I didn't know your schedule to choose a show and couldn't figure out the Mexican Ticketmaster site, way confusing!
