That's if Shaun Ryder makes it...

damn crazy that's like a 1990 era show...34 years ago...what the actual fuck...the 2020s are strange
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Jeff Lynne's ELO -THE OVER AND OUT TOUR in September.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Got tix for St Vincent in September and The Black Keys in October.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Paul Weller tix for Sept.
September is shaping up to be a busy concert month for me: IDLES, PJ Harvey, St Vincent, Paul Weller, Jeff Lynne
I guess I'm making up for the missed shows during the pandemic years.

I saw Nation of Language again last night, opening for Beach Fossils. Their live show has continued to evolve and I find them to be a powerhouse show now that they’ve added lighting, fog and more vocal effects to the presentation. They tour incessantly and it’s obvious how well they’ve honed their act. There are very few bands I’d drop everything to see and they’re one of them. Sadly, it was an openers set, so it was only 10 songs.
They’re not for everyone, but if you like early New Order/OMD/Depeche Mode, they’re worth the time to explore.

Going to see Helmet and Cro Mag this Sunday.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
The Live Nation $25 promo starts tomorrow. I get a code today for early access through my bank because it's one of the sponsors.
Got tix to the Slash S.E.R.P.E.N.T Festival and Tedeschi Trucks Band Deuces Wild 2024 with Special Guest Margo Price. ( I'm going for Margo Price- she is awesome!)
I was looking at the STP+Live show, there was $25 tickets for the lawn. I'm thinking about it...

Just saw Death Cab and Postal Service. I’ve always adored that Postal Service album and was blown away by how well they not only reproduced it live, but even improved upon it. Absolutely incredible show.
Looking forward to Outlaw Fest w/ Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp and Willie Nelson. Robert Plant and Alison Kraus were amazing on it last year.
Then War on Drugs with the National and Lucius, followed by Evolution Fest w/ Janes, Beck, Blondie, Killer Mike.
I’ve seen more shows since Covid “ended” than the 10 years preceding it combined.

Outlaw Fest sounds good and Evolution fest.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Neil Young and Crazy Horse. The Horse will roar. Been seeing them since the early 80s. Americana hard rock at its best.
Got comped for The Rolling Stones. Been a long time since I’ve seen them. It’ll be fun. Being in the same room with Keef has never disappointed.
I’d like to do outlaw fest with dylan Willie and Robert plant.
Told my kid I’d go see Dying Fetus with them.
Ween in philly later in the summer if deaner gets his shit together. Chocolate and Cheese 30th anniversary playing the whole thing.
And David Gilmour announced some shows in NYC later in the year. Royalty.
All sorts of stuff in smaller venues I’m sure.

You are a fortunate fellow! I'm a little jealous..lol. Last time I saw them was in 2002. No Doubt was the opener.
The tour looks and sounds great. I've watched a few vids that people have posted. The new songs sound pretty good too.
I really liked this...from the NOLA Jazz Fest.
Keith has a bit of a Captain Sensible thing going on with his red beret and round sunglasses.
Mick still has a lot of energy and moves like a much younger man.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Just got The The tickets on the pre-sale for October! The last time I saw them was in 1993 on the same bill with Depeche Mode.
Also, Sisters of Mercy in October.

Coheed and Cambria/Primus
I got tickets but it's doubtful I'll be able to make it.

Got tix for The Cult today in September. The last time I saw them was in 1989 at Wembley arena in London!
September is booked for 7 shows!! There are 3 more that I'm interested ( Squeeze w/ English Beat, Jesus and Mary Chain w/ Pyschedelic Furs, Micahel Kiwanuka) in that month, but it's too much, I think.

Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Off to see the Foo Fighters tonight at Villa Park. Only time I've seen them previously was at a festival in 2003!
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Ha, Geezer Butler joined them on stage last night for a cover of Paranoid. I love the way he plays bass. Epic night and I'm not a MASSIVE Foos fan.

Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Just bought tickets for The Smashing Pumpkins (November). I really liked their new album
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Washed Out last night. I was absolutely blown away. Really cool stage and lighting set up that made for an incredible presentation. If you’re even a bit of a fan I’d catch him this tour.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Never heard of "Washed Out". Will give them a listen since you rate them so highly.
I have to admit that lately, I feel more and more out of the loop with new music. I see upcoming listings and have no idea. I guess I no longer have my finger on the pulse of what's new and exciting.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Washed Out have actually been around for quite a while. Its synth and vocal effect heavy. They are often heralded as one of the first chill wave artists if you’re familiar. It’s drowsy sounding synthesizer music to listen to while you’re stoned at the beach. It really makes me happy. Especially presented with an 80s aesthetic without being too on the nose about it.Artemis wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2024 1:08 pmNever heard of "Washed Out". The theme song for portlandia is by washed out. Seeing Eric and the boys on Sunday, I'm glad San Diego is the second show of this leg.Artemis wrote:
