What made your day today?
Re: What made your day today?
All the best with your new venture, SR!
Every good dive restaurant/bar has an awesome jukebox for some reason. As a fan of divey establishments from way back, I've noticed that a killer jukebox is something that most of these places have in common.

Since the music video dropped last week for Bomba Estéreo's 2015 hit, "Soy Yo," the video has drawn attention — and plaudits — across the world. It's been called an ode to little brown girls everywhere. A swaggier Little Miss Sunshine. An empowerment anthem.
One half of the Colombian electro-cumbia group, instrumentalist Simon Mejia, talked with NPR's Rachel Martin about the song. Mejia, who records with vocalist Liliana Saumet, tells Martin about how the video came about, how they found their charismatic young actress — and how she came by those bomb dance moves.
"I don't know," Mejia says, "but surely she has a rhythm inside her."

Thanks, guys. My wife and I are truly over the moon about him.
He hit 5 weeks on Friday, so the surge of cognitive development has been really neat to witness the last few days. His smiles are becoming genuine and less of a reflex.
He was born literally right as Hurricane Hermine came through Tallahassee. All the power briefly cut off in the hospital mid labor, and the generators came on but only for refrigerating medicine, etc. So, my wife basically gave birth in a sauna. The timing was perfect as the storm left our house without power for 10 days.

I realised that I hadn't noticed that the little battery icon on my phone goes green when it's charging, and is white all the other times (until it's in the danger zone of course)..... I seem to live in a bubble.... and yet have not been hit by a bus.. Excellent...

I just bought a ticket(a cheap one $45) to WWE Monday Night Raw on Nov 21st!
Can't wait! I've always wanted to go one of these. On the 20th it's WWE Survivor Series but that's sold out. There are some VIP packages for $715 left..

Being a patron of the arts.
At the motorcycle training school I run we store the bikes and gear in shipping containers. Until this weekend they were mostly all a very drab beige. A few months ago I was having a beer at a spot called Quartyard in San Diego which uses re-purposed shipping containers for a bar and restaurant, there were two guys painting a mural on one of the boxes so we struck up a conversation. That led to a crew of five artists painting the boxes this weekend....
Patch Whisky
GhostBeard
Skye Walker
Mr DVICE

Re: What made your day today?

the pictures really don't do them justice.
Each of those boxes is 40' long x 10' high.
The colors are SO bright.
1st pieces on the west coast by patch and ghost, now they're on their way to do a wall at Art Basel in Miami
