been thinking about this last night while working graveyard. i just got off an picked up a six pack. thought id try making the show mescal put together.

funny how people want to waste their time on silly remixes but not on something that might actually be cool.

Oh well, I tried.

For the record. Ocean Size should be included, and the set closer should be Ted, Just admit it. And for me, the Hammerstein one is the best. I love Flea, he plays it a bit slower and grooves the shit out of it.

I know they played of course a few times live, is there actually a decent recording of that?

hey dude .. i have been super fuckin busy for a couple months now .. but have been meaning to finally post up this very compilation for ahem .. a few years now .. as its been completed for a while .. its a 3 cd set .. all from the pre pfp days .. i took all my favorite live versions from hundreds of boots .. mastered them as best i could and made a pretty cool mix .. contains some of your song pics as well .. that is the best classic girl .. pigs from cotton club is a fave .. slow divers rehearsal is pretty special .. perryisms .. san fran iris .. rehearsal tapes .. i am sure there are better sourced versions than the ones i personally cleaned up or remastered .. but it has charm .. i am hoping to upload this comp and many other shows i have personally recorded in the future .. sorry but there will be no post 91 janes included .. i am just a janes snob that way .. however .. i did the same for psi com .. this was before the new tapes came out over at ja.org .. so they are not as good quality as those .. but its still pretty good .. been meaning to work on a pfp one as well .. there acoustic shows in the lolla tent are some of my fave versions

anyway .. my comp is called SWEET JANE .. an homage both to janes love of velvet undergroung and the fact that janes was pretty fuckin sweet ..

so yeah that was me u are refering to that made the silly remixes .. which i put some heart and love into as well .. the rediculous amount of shit i got for even sharing my remix kind of detered me from sharing this comp .. but i will probably post it anyway for those occasional posters that wanna hear that vintage rare old school janes stuff ... and arent complete douchebags .. ahem

I'd actually be pleased to hear/have that. I miss listening to Jane's live, so this sort of compilation could satisfy that need without actually having to skip through some songs to get to the one I want to hear.

In fact, I think this 3-CD compilation wouldn't detract at all from the idea of the live compilation Mescal was proposing, which would be more like a 'full show' simulation more than a full-length compilation such as Trevor's
