Yeah, I hadn't commented on this before, and I have to say it's pretty cool. There are maybe two or three tracks that I'd change for other versions, but having in mind there are like 52 tracks in total, it's not even a big deal.

Very well done, and thanks for sharing :thumb:

Yeah, maybe we could update the compilation.

But then again, is there anyone who still cares?

well i would be open to but wont neccesarily commit to improving this comp .. if anyone has higher quality versions or different and better performances they want to pass along .. i spent a lot of time on this like 10 years ago .. i dont think nu janes is worth the trouble and if i was gonna do this again i would rather put the time into a pyros comp .. i'd be curious to hear the replacement choices for some of the trax .. there are a few great tracks i left off due to trying to fit it on an 80 minute cd and trying for only one version of each song .. even tho i gave in on a couple

there is the slow divers single that fits nicely on the end of slow diver talk
then she did from madison square garden is pretty great .. i kept it off because i was at that show and prefer to listen to it as a whole on its own
white people cant dance as an intro to had a dad was cool tho my main issue with that song is they play it too fast all the time which is why i went with the rehearsal tape .. same with idiots rule
had a dad at ritz nyc has the san francisco intro .. again i was at that show and prefer it as a whole so i kept it off
i never did hear the acoustic been caught stealing .. that might be worthwhile to add if anyone has a good version
jannus landing had a fun jam as well
the acoustic classic girl is pretty good too
theres some fun shit like when the levee breaks jam out there

upgrades are welcome

Damn, what a live band ...

It gave me energy to continue what I have started :)

I wasn't all satisfied with the Trevor comp. Good comp, but a little bit too much. I just want to bring it down to "the perfect gig" . So, quality recordings from quality shows. I'm sure everyone has a favourite live version of their song ... so come on guys, we're almost there .

To comply with kv's demand, I deleted the Hammerstein ones.

Also, regarding the set list, I would put 3 days a bit more towards the end of the show ...

Wouldn't you agree, Mescal, that shows have a flow to them? I'm just wondering how taking bits and pieces might effect that. Really why I love this band so much is that it's like some animal on the loose and you never know which one you'll get on any given night. Really my favorite boots are some of the worst quality recordings when nothing is going right, but damn do they struggle and fight through it and the passion is just laid out there. Like 'Forget the Rumors.....' at Mt Baldy. What an awful recording with feedback, perry is so low in the mix, and he keeps talking to the sound guy and the reverb keeps acting up............ it's sounds absolutely like garbage to most ears and would never work with the tracks separated out.......but it is surely in my top five shows.

I don't know, just my two cents..... :noclue:

myes, I definitely see what you mean.

I have the same with the Skin and Bones show :) And hammerstein for that matter.

But I don't know, sometimes there just are such standout tracks, when they're in the right mood and playing, like you said struggling to get through, playing on a different level.

That's why I thought, if we take every of those stand out tracks and put them together, it will be kick ass. That's also why I said, in the beginning, that the different songs should be mastered or something, so that it less sounds like the tracks were put together.

So don't know, it might work, it might not, but if you don't try ...
