It was some dude with a funny accent who thought he had the holy grail of websites! Helped inspire Perry to put out a pretty good album though.

Was Eric actually there, or did they just use a recording of him? Who directed this fucking thing?

No, the last one was at a festival in daylight, or at least that's what I remember.

that guitar solo sounds planned out .. and different than what he used to play .. kinda makes me wonder if they re recorded one percent during the trent sessions .. like how dave came up with those melodic textures over 'whores' .. sounds like they took a similar approach at some point .. plus its really slowed down like those other trent trax were .. one percent whores and chip away all remind me of when the police butchered "don't stand so close to me" .. probably hitting a similar tenure with perry .. as sting prepares his next loot record perry drops that slab tgea on his unsuspecting devotees .. at least we know what to expect down the line from perry now ..

That was pretty great. Eric's bass adds such a heavy bottom to those songs live.

I think it sounded fine there. Depends on the song. 1% as sort of a chuggy punk song is fantastic.

i thought that sucked---perry's voice is shot; he doesn't even try to hit the highs even when they're tuned down already.

weak.

I thought it was decent but I like the version of Whores from the same show. It was a good recording either way.

If you have anything negative to say about that from 1:58 to 3:10 you're fucking nuts.

I know what you mean, it's cool and all, but somehow when I watch it I get the feeling that the whole aggression and body language from Perry during that fx is more of an act nowadays as opposed to 1990 which makes it a little hard to watch for me. But, I could be wrong of course

The last gig with Eric was indeed at a festival in Australia, but I remember him saying something about that this indoor gig really meant something for him because it was the last one for only 'Jane's people'. He really said goodbye to Jane's at that moment.

Pretty sure that the Melbourne show at The Palace (that I taped) was the "last real Jane's People show" he was talking about. The shows after that were all festivals. The last show he played was at Soundwave in Perth.
