Wow, dude that was funny! Grammar jokes are funny all the time and they are definitely the best come back in any casual online setting ever! That was good...you should do stand-up with Steve Harvey!
It took you two pages to get it, uh?
No, I have a life and I don't get on every 2 hours.

Hey all, new guy here. Anyway I figured I'd start of here by sharing some news on gto. In an interview conducted last week with weinman, he stated that Jon theodore is now the drummer, not pridgen. He also said that they are in no rush to complete the record but have about half of it done. They are also open to more collaborators. Google it to find the link. Happy new years!

Interview with Ben Weinman

http://www.tonedeaf.com.au/features/int ... e-plan.htm

A little snippet:
“We’re all really excited about it because our bands are all pretty busy,” he spurts with his characteristic youthful exuberance. “Eric Avery’s working on a solo record and we’re all pretty busy with our own things but we’re all very excited about this. Our heads are all in a million places right now.”

Ben has been a fan of Jane’s Addiction since he was a youngster and the process of working with a childhood hero has him more than excited for the future.

“Jane’s Addiction were really like the alternative, weird band that somehow managed to break into the mainstream and still maintain some level of weirdness. I was always drawn to that and somehow I relate to Eric and those guys. I was a huge Jane’s fan and I always just thought of them as the biggest band in the world for me.”

“It’s funny he’s from my time period growing up when music was the most important thing in my life. Those were the guys where you thought, ‘Holy shit those guys are sick you know, I love em’. So it’s been a real pleasure to work with him.”

Sorry for the bump on an ancient topic.. but apparently this album finally came out. Anyone know if Eric appears on it at all?

I listened to a few of their songs on Youtube. I thought they sounded awful, so I hope not :hehe:

Yeah, EA's not involved anymore, and probably a good move on his part. It sounds like a bad early 2000s post-Nu-metal garage piece of shit outtake from Velvet Revolver.

I thought Mastondon was terrible when I've seen them live, so I guess I neednt even check this out.

Yeah me too.

Saw em opening for Tool. Had some serious WTF is this going on.

Apparently their later albums are better. But I haven't felt the need to check em out

I like Mastodon, too. Well, somewhat selectively. Giraffe Tongue Orchestra are not good at all.

I liked Remission, Leviathan and Crack The Skye but for some reason never listened to anything after. The 1 GTO song I heard was pretty bad.

I enjoy all those you mentioned, including Blood Mountain. I feel like Ben Weinman wrote a majority of GTO, which is probably why I'm not into this at all.
