I had become convinced it was never coming. I guess Perry finally liked the artwork.

I wonder what the heck could be coming the Fall. I’d ask Pete but I bet he doesn’t know. Such a weird band.

Maybe they’ll be part of a few Fall Janes shows.

I still find it odd they’ve only announced a random festival date in St. Louis. Then again, they probably have a tour mapped out but just haven’t announced it because their management is weird.

Edit - just noticed the Fall comment was in response to a request for a full album. So probably an EP with some live stuff from the tour added? I’m 99% sure there are no other studio recordings.

I often forget just how fucking punk both early Janes and early Porno were live. I also often forget just how unique of a band Porno really was. I still contend they were criminally underrated, and primarily because it WAS so different than Janes. People are STILL pining to hear another real Janes record. Porno never stood a chance. But what a brilliant band that I don’t think could really be appreciated without seeing them live. I’m really happy a lot of folks finally got to at least see a glimpse of it on that last tour.

Agreed. It’s an incredible piece of music, hurt badly by the lyrics and vocals on the verses. I wish to god someone had convinced Perry to do something different as this has so much potential.

Again, what a band. What an absolutely fantastic band. This should have been what happened after Relapse. You’d still have Perry close to his prime, completing what was obviously a promising third Porno record.

It’s incomprehensible you go from Relapse to Strays in just 5 short years.

Anyway, I’m glad they finished these songs. Quite the treat for someone that held an equal place in my heart for Porno as Janes. Hopefully this is what the next Janes record feels like. It won’t be perfect, but hopefully it FEELS like Janes one more time.
