I like the start, almost sounds like "androgynous" by the replacements

sure thing. corny/simplistic lyrics work.

***EDIT*** not sarcasm

Definitely sounds like latter era U2, as previously suggested.

I'm listening to the beginning, I like it...like the smooth vibe
Ok they're back to the 90's pop thing...

Perry's lyrics aren't as poetic as they used to be.

But oh well. He could be dead like Cobain and Staley i guess. :noclue:

I think it's a good pop song and could be a relatively successful single. :noclue:

He may be referencing Inger Lorre in the abstract. I like his sInging on this one. It's a real melodic performance with grace notes and everything. Not typical "playground song" Perry. Shows some growth.

I'm hearing Cath by Death Cab For Cutie on this one.

I thought we were heading into a lag with the two songs before this. I didn't like Ultimate Reason and Splash A Little Water On It, but this one picks up a bit. Doesn't sound like a Jane's song. Sounds like standard pop. Not a bad song though.

I may be downgrading my rating on this song. I am starting to find PF's singing in this songs cloying...if that makes sense.

Fucking love Broken People... and that little wordy bit that leads into the last song.

Definitely my least fave right now. The siamese dream style guitar toward the middle was a surprise and interesting but far from saved the song. I seriously never want to hear this one again, it sounds hokey.

I like the guitar, and I like the song so far, sounds kind of Beatley to me, but I can kinda hear Jane's in there somewhere. Really picked up with guitars coming in heavier. Until then I was putting it next to Classic Girl in my head and it seemed to kind of fit there...

clearly this album's "everybody's friend"

I like both songs. I know, you're all surprised.
