twisted tales
Re: twisted tales
I like the chorus, I verses are boring/happy to me. Not really liking the sound of this one and its pretty straight ahead pop. It's just meh.
Re: twisted tales
My second fave so far.
Re: twisted tales
I like this one too. I think it would be a good radio song too.
Re: twisted tales
I'll have to listen to it again today, but last night I thought Perry would start singing come on done...Leto wrote:Yeah, I've heard Duran Duran style a couple of times on this record.Tyler Durden wrote:Sounds like Duran Duran.
Re: twisted tales
Let me rephrase that...Larry B. wrote: i just like the little "sometimes i got lucky i" melody.
I love that melody. Love it. To me, so far it's the best moment in the album. Angel-like.

Yeah, my second fave. It might end up being my#1, I like it more each time I listen.Warped wrote:My second fave so far.

Re: twisted tales
I like this...I've only heard like two Duran Duran songs in my life so I don't see the comparison at all, but I like Perry's vocal on this...

Re: twisted tales
I guarantee you have heard more than 2 Duran Duran songs. They had many hits. Probably you've heard their songs but didn't know it was them.
I'm not really hearing the Duran Duran. For sure an 80s sound, more U2ish than Duran, imo.

Re: twisted tales
The whole album has a mid '80's California high school movie vibe to it. I like it.
Re: twisted tales
Yeah, sounds vaguely similar to "Come Undone".perkana wrote:I'll have to listen to it again today, but last night I thought Perry would start singing come on done...Leto wrote:Yeah, I've heard Duran Duran style a couple of times on this record.Tyler Durden wrote:Sounds like Duran Duran.

I went to catholic school for 8 years, grew up & lived in a west indian neighborhood most of my life, didn't have cable till I was in my late teens and rarely if ever listened to the radio as a kid...aside from Wild Boys I can't recall ever hearing one of their songs as a kid or seeing any of their videos...most of the music I sought out was thru word of mouth and I was always under the impression that they were a band girls liked...sorry to disappoint yalls...Tyler Durden wrote:Bullshit.Essence_Smith wrote:I've only heard like two Duran Duran songs in my life

I have also managed to avoid hearing the Macarena, Livin La Vida Loca and a whole myriad of songs that everyone told me got stuck their heads...I also have not seen Titanic...

Re: twisted tales
This is becoming one of my favorites from the album, really creative melody from Perry and solid lyrics.

Re: twisted tales
It blows.
Re: twisted tales
I've never seen Titanic or Avatar. The latter looks especially horrible.
