What a stupid band.
i'm sure if it were up to the band dave of course would be there. at least they let everyone know a few months out this time.

josh would not be my first choice. i just think he looks silly jumping around on stage. maybe that works for the chilli peppers but it doesn't quite fit jane's.
Klinghoffer is a goofy fill in choice, doesn't fit Jane's at all. Troy was a better choice.

Just watched a little of it. He sounds slow as if he’s medicated…

He also says NHC album is out this year
Good ol methadone.
Didn’t even think of that - I’d rather it be that than Ativan
yeah...hopefully it's methadone. at least he's trying to clean up.

To see Jane's with Josh GoofHoffer they would have to redo the same setlist they've been playing since Relapse. Great songs like these shouldn't be left out Perry.

So What
Ripple
Kettle
Obvious
No Ones Leaving

So What is mid. Always felt tossed off.

How many times has a Ripple ever actually been played? A Handful?

Kettle was played this last tour with Josh

Obvious gets pulled out every so often

No Ones Leaving was played this last tour with Josh

At the moment Josh is more JA 1.0 than even Dave. I think it's the right choice.

Yeah, did see Kettle on YouTube with Troy and was surprised they played it. Perry sounded good and did Troy. Didn't see any of the other songs. Trip Away and a faster electric version of Slow Divers would be cool to. Better even, record a live set with the entire Kettle Whistle CD track list and put it out. Have Pete join in with Hard Charger as the encore.

Don't forget to throw in an end to war in Ukraine and a reversal of global warming to the kitchen sink of random shit, while you're at it.

Also

They might as well play that unrecorded and unreleased album from 1993

Or

We can just be happy with what we get. Like didn’t they do Trip Away this last tour. Only once but still.

Feels like the JA brain trust is really open to anything. With Josh now and Eric getting along with Perry and Etty—I’m super hopeful.

His timing is so bad. Goofy as shit. I don't hate it. It's interesting and weird, but like uncanny valley with the pseudo-Perry/Dave thing going on there.

Oh man I absolutely love that. He might even be more Janes 1.0 than Perry, let alone Dave. He really gives that song the gravity and vocal performance it deserves. It reminds me of Froosh doing For Emily.

Man who else can say they’ve stepped in for both John Frusciante and Dave Navarro?
I find this guy pretty underwhelming. Can anyone point to some original music he has recorded with RHCP, some other artist, or solo that gives off a “WOW” factor? I just don’t get it. His two albums with the Chili Peppers seemed kind of pedestrian, if memory serves.
Bicycle Thief. For real. And he was a teenager. He’s a smart guy with very cool rock instincts. Don’t get me wrong. JA is fucked up as always not being able to put this moment to its best possible use by maybe finally making great new music with the original band. But Josh will be great in the live shows, is my guess.

Suffer Some the original song from back in the day. I wish there were more live shows with that song.
