Jane’s to play the Palladium in March?

#1 Post by Tyler Durden » Sat Jan 14, 2023 6:30 am

Someone on Facebook is stating that they have “good authority” reporting to them that the band will play the Hollywood Palladium in March. Yes, I know this is just some rando on social media…but aren’t scheduled to play Lolla somewhere around this time? The timing kind of makes sense. Prep show for Lolla and throwing a bone to hardcore fans.

The Lolla dates in South America are in March.

I'm hoping for an announcement for dates to make up for the missed cities from last year's tour.

As for Dave, haven't read anything or seen anything to suggest that he's back with JA. :noclue:

Dave is very clearly not involved in anything Janes related based on his IG.

I’d love to understand how he went from rooting for them and vowing to work on the album’s guitar parts while they’re touring to saying absolutely nothing about them. I wonder if it’s Cheney related and him being pissy about him being booted right after Taylor died. He basically lost both band mates from his side hustle. Did he not reconcile with Eric like Perry did?

No matter the cause, I’m super annoyed by Dave denying everyone this final go at Janes finishing it out with the OG crew.

He went from post after post making it sound like he’s dying to seemingly being perfectly fine as soon as the tours over.

Looking at his insta again- he deleted the announcement that he was sitting out the tour.

Apparently on one of Dan Clearys podcasts last month he said Dave was in constant communication with all band members.

Shows are coming up again- they need to clarify what’s going on- they keep tagging him in posts too

No, probably not. Wishful thinking on my part. After reading all the great reviews from ANRers and seeing the vids from the last tour, I felt like I was missing out a little bit.

Imagine throwing away your future as part of the original Jane’s Addiction (with possible new recordings) because you are loyal to Chris Chaney. :lolol:

I don't see it. DN hasn't lived his life as a slave to relationships' conventional allegiances. He seems like a live and let live type as long as no harm comes from it.

Far more likely that he wants to get off the Jane’s drama merry go round. The guy is in his 50’s. Maybe he just wants to chill and do chill shit.

Alternative rock pioneers Jane’s Addiction have awed fans with superior musicianship and over-the-top showmanship for more than three decades, and they’re still going strong. The band's potent blend of alt-rock, metal, and punk is pure sonic boom and their live shows are equally explosive, flooring fans with full-throttle funk metal shredding and far-out visual spectacles. Flamboyant frontman and Lollapalooza founder Perry Ferrell commands the stage with cocksure rock star swagger, pumping up the crowd with wild-eyed intensity until they reach a blissed-out state of rock nirvana. Superstar guitarist Dave Navarro is equally magnetic, shaking fans to the core with his high-octane riffage on scorching favorites like “Stop”, “Been Caught Stealing”, and “Mountain Song”. Jane's Addiction are alt-rock legends for a reason, and their fun and freaky live performances are a can't-miss experience for any alt-rock fan worth their salt.

Less then two months away for this run of shows - if Dave is still in, he'll need to start doing rehearsals with the band by mid-Feb. At any rate, the band need to come clean and not continue to sell tickets to shows indicating Dave is in the lineup if he's not.

Interesting. I wonder if they’ll release some music to coincide.

I know it might be too much for the old man but for these shows an hour of pnp followed by an hour of janes would be great.

Definitely from around OHM- Janes account shared it on their story too.

Also saw a video of Dave smoking cigs while doing his art- guess he doesn’t have long Covid anymore

They have to clarify Dave’s status with these headlining shows right?
