We should have the full setlist by 6PST/9EST, if not sooner.

Guess Eric doesn't care anymore. It's a Jane's Day. Hopefully they sound and look great. Good vibes hopefully last the full tour please.

Maybe one of Perrys "gives" for Eric was not have Etty onstage so instead, she's filmed riding her plastic pony to be projected on a screen during whatever song gets blessed with this awesomeness. It'd be doubly funny if the brief shadow of someone casually walking by made it into the clip as well.

They had dancers in the olden days too. In nappies.
I’m fine with the dancers. Didn’t love the meat hook stuff that much though.

The dancers during the original era were a totally different vibe than having your middle aged wife shimmy her “goodies” in your direction while you shoot goo goo eyes back at her like a confused Hugh Hefner who should be asleep by 8pm.

Anyone think a song past Ritual will be played?
Doubt it…but I actually like True Nature, and can see that benefiting from Eric’s playing.

Any post-Ritual material would benefit from Eric’s treatment. But I hope they don’t go that route. I think they need to maintain the absence of the post-Ritual music in order to continually convey the message that this is not the same band that made that music. If I saw Eric playing “Superhero”, that would hurt my heart.

Yeah, End To The Lies probably
More like Superhero because the kids/grandkids of the original fans might have seen that show, Entourage, and it'll be the only song they know.

It’s surreal. I still remember the last time Eric played with Janes and this time 10 years ago they were winding down to just being a working touring band.

So the official Jane’s store is now live. No new tour merch, but there is new “vintage” merch. If you want to buy a replica of a Ritual tour shirt from 1991, including the old shoddy silkscreen style with limited colors, they have it.

I'm betting they don't play anything from the Chaney era. Any set list variations will be songs like Suffer Some, Kettle, Trip Away, etc.

Etty goes all the way back to Relapse, no? That's where they met. I don't care if there are dancers, so long as it's done properly. That video doesn't bother me much. I'll reserve judgement until we see what it all looks like. I have to think Eric wants (and even Perry it now seems) for the band to restore its luster, and aren't going to allow anything ridiculous.

I think Eric has mellowed a bit and just kind of thinks ok, fuck it whatever, sure dancers it is. I get the vibe that Covid has mellowed a lot of people after seeing mortality up close and realizing time is limited.

I agree and don't think Eric would be cool with anything too far. Minus the off-count backup singing, I didn't mind Etty and her dance partner at all during the P4P Lollapalooza set.
