Yes, but *with Pete* there too. Gilby himself said that Dave and him are two different types of guitar players, so I don't see that.

Gilby plays lead guitar. He played rhythm guitar in Guns N’ Roses because that was the gig, and they have a Slash.
Gilby played lead guitar on “1%” at one of the early P4P reunion shows. Which is why there is speculation that he might replace Dave on the SP tour.
This is Perry we’re talking about. We can’t put anything past the guy at this point. It might as well be Nuno, but that bridge has been left unrepaired, at least to my knowledge.

Sure, I'm not saying Gilby can't learn those parts. I'm just saying that I think another kind of player would be more fitting (in case there's a need for a replacement, which doesn't seem to be the case right now).

I gotcha. I’m always trying to get in Perry’s head where an idea like hiring Gilby makes all the sense in the world. Bluesy rock player with metal chops (that he didn’t exercise in GNR); if you’re in an arena or shed, a looky loo might think it’s Dave. I mean, we recognize this is in the realm of possibility.
I’m starting to think Dave will make the tour. Hallelujah.

Jane's was going to play South American Lollas earlier this year, but they canceled few days before. Then they said they were coming back for the 2023 ones instead, so maybe.

I had a dream last night that I was at the concert, and that they started out with up the beach. But the whole band was behind the stage set and they slowly came out and then when the bass player came out it was Mike Watt, and all I could think was how typical for this band.
