He's playing bass for Miley Cyrus.

I thought it very important you all know this.

Yeah I saw that. He got the job sometime last year- the musical director is the drummer, who oddly enough is the lead singer for the band American Hi-Fi. Basically he hires a large contingent of musicians who have multiple gigs so when Miley needs to play or tour, he figures out who's available.

Chris Chaney- the Josh Freese of Bass!

Great player to have jump in with any given band needing a bassist.

Interesting. Seems like a nice enough guy. Glad he's making a living.

He's a far less destructive force. Innocuous at worst. He's a perfectly competent session style bass player. What he's lacking is song writing ability on par with Avery. Or anywhere near it.

This band could've remained decent had they kept Lenoble, ditched Ezrin, and tried to remain somewhat true to the fucking name.

Didn't Chaney try out for or even play for one of the post-Freddy Mercury iterations of Queen?

When Queen and Adam Lambert was just starting up Taylor Hawkins recommended Chris to them. At that point I don't think he had committed to the TGEA tour yet but Perry was somehow able to rope him in.
