I just saw Garbage with Eric on bass, here in Argentina.
Wow. I can't say anything else.
It was the greatest bass-sounding show I have been on MANY years.
He deserves a lot more of recognition in Garbage. At least he was really up in the mix
Just saw Eric Avery live

That's cool. I wasn't sure if Eric was still playing with/for them, so I didn't get tickets for their show in Santiago. Good to know he's still enjoying that gig.parklife03 wrote:I just saw Garbage with Eric on bass, here in Argentina.

I follow him on Instagram and he posts various 'round the world' shots...obviously when he's on tour with Garbage.

I'm still kicking myself for not seeing him/them when they visited Seattle a few months ago. I'm not a huge Garbage fan, but I know enough of their songs that I would have enjoyed it--especially to see Eric on stage. At the time, I don't think I could find evidence that he was touring with them.

I saw Garbage open for Jane's in San Diego; it was a 91X festival. Eric stayed in the shadows the entire show, occasionally lurching over to Butch to lock in. I really enjoyed the show. I know only a few songs but Shirley is a world class front woman, and I really enjoyed the alternating lead guitars. Very solid band with Vig being the weakest link.

Years ago the first time he was with them, i went, just to see eric play. My ex-wife was a garbage fan anyway. Shirley is indeed a riveting front woman. Eric wasn't terribly animated. But he sounded great and was very high in the mix.
