No. Can we have one Perry project he hasn't ruined the legacy of?
Satellite Party reunion with Nuno!
 Doubt that Nuno would participate in that. He was already gone before the SP tour even finished. I remember when I saw the show another guy(don't recall the name)had replaced Nuno.

Nuno knew it was over for him in that band when Perry ditched all the Satellite Party songs for Jane's and Porno stuff instead.

I remember when Satellite Party was on Howard Stern to promote their CD and the song they played live in the studio to do that was Been Caught Stealing :lolol:

I was on Blabbermouth 2 days ago and apparently Nuno's phone got hacked and someone posted his dick pics to his instagram. LOL

I think he's unavailable at the moment due to all the embarrassment.

Yeah, at one point on that tour they were playing like 75% Jane's songs. That's when Nuno quit.

Why the fuck doesn't Perry ever work with Pete?

I just went and clicked on a random show to check the setlist and this is what was played :bs:

Wish Upon A Dogstar
Superhero
Tahitian Moon
Mountain Song
Hard Life Easy
Been Caught Stealing
Pets
Just Because
Only Love, Let's Celebrate
Stop!
Ultra Payloaded Satellite Party
Jane Says

I don't blame Nuno one bit for bailing and not wanting to play a greatest hits set from two bands he had nothing to do with.

SP wasn't really a greatest hits band until Nuno and the drummer left and some young dude started playing guitar. I saw them twice. First time when the album came out. Songs were much better live and yes, they mixed in MS, Stop and ANR. The next time I saw them was without Nuno at a half full/empty Irving Plaza and it was terrible. I think it's the same set list you posted, best of PF and only 3 SP songs.

According to this interview with Nuno, it was all Yoko Ono's fault http://rushonrock.com/2008/10/22/exclus ... terviewed/:
rushonrock: Last time you were over here it was with Perry Farrell’s Satellite Party. It looked like a good fit but it obviously wasn’t?

NB: Satellite Party was one of those things that, when I started it, it actually felt like something special. I worked on it for two-and-a-half to three years on and off – I was very involved from the start with Perry. By the time the record came out it was just a few guys with Perry reclaiming the project as his own. He added his wife to the mix and suddenly she was up there every night and her face was on the front of the record. She’d never really sung on stage before but suddenly she’d hired choreographers and the whole thing turned into some kind of weird cabaret act. It was like Sonny and Cher and the rest of us were in the background. I felt a little embarrassed by it all but that’s what Perry wanted to do. I didn’t.

They played a 'flashmob' on the corner of Abbot Kinney and Venice Blvd I met my family and friends at. Nuno was excellent as was some blond girl on keys. I think the set list was about 75 SP and 25 JA. I remember PF and Etty sitting in a dated Beemer parked in front of my Harley. They had the engine running and I was concerned they were going to back into it. I went up to the chain link fence dividing the parking lot and Venice and motioned to them. Etty thought I was stargazing, waved, but never rolled down the window.

Yeah it actually started as a band project but quickly turned into the Perry/Etty show. They were in Europe for some shows when Nuno and the Drummer quit. It then turned fully into the Perry/Etty show with a few SP songs.

I remember reading an interview with Pete around the time the record came out. If memory serves, he was in some way involved with writing the music to dog star. Before Perry did anything with it, Eric heard the demo and expressed interest in contributing in some capacity (don't think he knew it was for Perry at that point).

I guess its just another instance of a satellite party related thing that had promise but went horribly, horribly off the tracks.

I was with 2 friends. One had seen P4P and the other was a really great friend and still is that I played in bands with and really respect musically and he'd never seen Perry live. I was embarrassed, lol. I spent the whole walk/Subway/train ride apologizing and talking up the Jane's/Porno shows I'd seen.

Didn't know we shared Perry's rock bottom together Romeo!

I've defended and worshiped Perry so long....I'm almost embarrassed all the times I've even argued with some of you about him....I freaking Love him....But as a singer myself he puts no effort into singing anymore and it makes me sad....He never was technically a great singer but his energy and manic struggle to sing... along with his expert use of effects made it amazing...every time I see him now he cares nothing about pushing himself harder and getting into that magic space he usta get to...even when he struggled vocally he usta get there....now it's like no effort given...no trying to sing up in the rafters..no bark...no use of effect in the way he did before.....no energy....no fucks given!!!!……Like I said I sing...and I don't see him belting and being in the moment anymore and that makes me sad.....just going thru the motions?...woulda thought he'd screech and fight to be on key before becoming a lounge act...bummer  ……Still love him but really bummed he doesn't try....With the right vocal coach he could easily nail his spots :banghead:....it's really a workout to get up there in the higher range vocally...almost feels like you just went for a hard run?....but the more you push yerself and the more you sing it gets easier....just read a interview from Robert Plant and as fried as his voice is at times he even said "If I get on tour and do all those vocal gymnastics on a nightly basis it starts to get easier...when I slack off it becomes impossible " ...it's hard work to belt and make noise ....effort!!!!

it was right after Dave got wind that Etty was singing Jane's songs (someone sent him a youtube video of her rocking out horrible backing vocals to Mountain Song) with SP. He colorfully voiced his disdain on SRL
so I had to represent!
