Found this as a result of watching that. First GGU tour footage I've ever seen. This totally reaffirms my memory of that being one of the best shows I've ever seen. Perry was still in top form. That whole band. Jesus christ.

Great video! They were so good, nice set (1/2 set at least). I remember them always opening with either Porpoise Head or Orgasm in NY, maybe I'm wrong..Bman? Cool to open with A Little Sadness. That version of Meija was awesome, I forgot Watt did a little backup vocals. They were the coolest, I remember thinking that all of my ribs were going to crack and break at an Irving Plaza show. They opened with Porpise Head and the whole crowd swelled as one, but dangerously crushed together. The hair on my arms stands up when I think about that show!ritdehabit wrote:Holy shit

I think we discussed before, but I had a very similar experience. I was front and center, and the moment the show started I was being crushed in to the security barrier. People all around me were having the guards pull them over so they could breathe. Yeah, they opened with Orgasm at the St. Louis show too. And yes, the only rowdier crowds I'd ever experienced were at hardcore punk shows. People were still fanatical about Perry at the time. But the first one at roseland definitely opened with orgasm and the crowd was a swirl the likes of which I'd never experienced, but safe, until P4P ripped the shit up to where I was lifted and moved from the middle to the rail, got kicked in the head (my friend Guy, RIP, got his glasses broken at the same moment) and finally escaped happy to be in one piece, and watched from towards the back of the floor. As intense as any moment at a live show I've ever experienced.
