XXX is less an album than the other two. I like it, but, don't listen to it as much as the other two. Even though it has Trip Away and Whores. Way down low where the streets are littered, I find my fun with the freeks and the niggers and Love them whores they'll never judge you, now what can you say when you're a whore are my favourite Jane's lyrics.

The production on NS is horrible. But it's the one that drew me into JA. Up the Beach might be my favourite Jane's song.

Ritual is their masterpiece. Where all their craft came together.

I have the same with Tool, Aenima is really, really good; but Lateralus is just .... better. Their peak. The perfect craft. The perfect band effort

my favourite Jane's lyrics.
"it ain't easy livin" from ocean size are mine. quick and simple but i love it.
The production on NS is horrible.
i kind of agree, you can really hear the polish on it.
Up the Beach might be my favourite Jane's song.
it's way up there for me too.. seems to be overlooked by most. it's pretty

NS is just feels more dated now...with the breaking glass drum triggers and such...production didn't hold up as well as rit has...but Ted is as janes as it gets for me

I love the production on NS....dangerous and chaotic. It reminds me now, looking back, like a lot of early who and U2 where the album is minimalist in construction/production but with genius numerical order of killer songs that coax alternating like and foil emotions much like a great novel.

This is not to disparage RDLH at all; it's one of my all time favorites, but NS is the heart and soul of Jane's.

Yup, that Ohio show is a great representation of the genius of the band. Someone posted a Florida show, I think too from 91, here within the last year. That was the best tape I have seen of 1.0 ever.
