At what was the Pacific Amp? I have a memory of Mona going to the bathrooms and missing the opening of PJ..... :hs: Anyways, I did notice then how odd it was to see them in the daylight (with such a great show). The year before Living Colour was on during the day and it was a disaster. People were bored or just meandering about and LC was not at their best. Even then they were one of my fave bands.

On PFP, no. My thinking was stay focused on the main stage with my new girl as she really wasn't a music fanatic. As it was, it was a bit of a mistake.....Al was wasted and firing deep cutting insults to the crowd which bothered her.

Wasn't there a Ministry documentary in the works? I remember seeing a preview and Navarro was in it. Did that ever come out?

lollpalooza '92 was my first real concert. i also went to 93 & 94. good memories. they truly were special back then. wish i went to the first one..

ministry was the loudest music i've ever heard in my life still to this day. we were like 15 people back, and in front of one of those speaker towers... it was so loud it hurt my entire body.

Genitorturers played side stage at the Lollapalooza shows, think '92. I couldn't look away when a guy was piercing his scrotum, now that is blah blah daily routine.

Isn't he kind of running on fumes these days? I had heard about 5+ years ago he was in pretty dire shape with liver and/or kidney failure. The last couple Ministry shows I saw about 10 years ago were pretty bad with Jourgensen pretty much a sideman in his own band.

He didn't seem too healthy when they were mixing the Buck Satan shit but my buddy Cody is a photographer that saw him a year or two ago and said he was "alright" but that doesn't mean he isn't dying

Is it true that the term lollapalooza was taken from a 3 stooges episode? Either way, perry put that word on the map. Now its used for every big event.

i always thought it came from Brideman's ice cream parlor in the 80's........ it was a huge thing of ice cream called the La La Palooza, and if you ate it all you got a button or a shirt

Image

turns out it was just a local thing and i doubt Perry ever ate there. i remember when the concert became a thing i thought the name was cuz of the ice cream.. huge ice cream dish/huge concert kinda thing
