RDLH Opener Remix - Lolla 2003 Intro

#1 Post by Hokahey » Sat Jun 25, 2016 12:33 pm

At Lollapalooza 2003, Jane's came out to a remix of the RDLH album opener playing over the PA and then opened with Stop. Does anyone have video or audio of that they can share? Specifically the remix that they took the stage to.

this is a tricky one. for YOU to think theres audio of this out there must mean there IS audio out there! im sure you have the premix or premaster for the RDLH song your questioning about. seems this concert audio could be rare,
while researching on ja.org it shows the venue was changed this evening :agree:

:noclue: 03 lolla was still a traveling festival. they canceled many dates because of poor sales.

i think remember the "remix". it was just the girl's voice looped and sped up.

Are you sure 2003 dates got canceled? That lineup was pretty stellar (JA/QOTSA/Audioslave/A Perfect Circle/etc)

The entirety of 2004 got canceled when it went all indie and two days in each city.

I remember this too. There used to be a pro shot vid of it on youtube about ten years ago. Dave was wearing a white boa. There was heavy organ on Stop which made the song sound really... unappealing. Any one able to re-upload?

This is hilarious:
07/13/2003 – Polaris Amphitheatre, Columbus, OH

Show Information:
The venue name was changed to the Germain Amphitheater in the time between this show was announced and took place.
Thanks to Frank for the heads up on this.
I am the one who submitted this information to the site. I used the name "Frank" because I figured if I told them it was me, they never would have bothered with the update.

That 2003 or 4 line-up was pretty good if you took janes out. I dont get it though, half those cancelled dates were 2 shows booked the same day.

The sad thing with all post Jane's projects is you always hear what that Jane's member brought to the table, and mixed with the other 3 would've made a great Jane's album.

If solo Perry, Dave and Eric merged with Polar Bear, Porno For Pyros, Deconstruction and OHM Dave they would have doubled their output with equally great releases. Instead we get half baked ideas. P4P came the closest but they didn't last too long.
