Will a Guns reunion ight a fire under Perry?

#1 Post by bman » Mon Jan 11, 2016 6:41 am

I wonder if the Guns N Roses reunion will inspire Perry to make raise his level a bit. Hell, I'd love to see a Guns and Janes tour.

I highly doubt it. I honestly have a hard time seeing him doing anything relatively prolific in the future.

lol. Axl can't even get GnR back together. I think people will just pay dollar to see him and Slash on the same stage.

Jane's is done.

The only way a fire gets lit under Perry is if someone literally lights him on fire.

You need to come to grips with the fact that he is an out of touch 60 year old man that is more interested in getting elective plastic surgeries for both him and his wife than he is in creating anything of substance.

If getting Eric Avery back in the band didn't do it for him, nothing will.

Unless Etty learns bass? Then mid gig, during a 2017 dance version of Then She Did or something, Perry could cut into "it's all about the bass, 'bout the bass, no treble" whilst pointing to Etty dressed in 10 inch heels with fireworks coming out of her nipples.

You read it here first.

Maybe Bowie's death will light a fire under Perry.

Maybe global warming will light a fire under Perry

Maybe a fire will light a fire under Perry

You know why a fire will never be lit under Perry?

Etty.

Wasn't Bowie like Perry's original inspiration to become a singer? Maybe his death will shake Perry up a bit and cause a good look in the mirror and get him rethinking his legacy and his choices.

I mean, of course it won't, but it's a nice thought.

If Etty was out of the picture (e.g., divorce, fatal OD by mixing the wrong pills with booze, whatever).. who knows. It'd be interesting to see what Perry would do then. But at this point I'm afraid he's too far gone to create anything of much substance. Perhaps if he trust himself completely to a producer like Trent or Rubin or somebody who could craft him into something cool again. But yeah, that'd be a miracle.

We all know this.

So, why are we even discussing this?

Perry hasn't created anything cool since let's say 1999. That was in the past millennium. Over 15 years ago.

Perry is going to be part of the tribute to David Bowie at Carnegie Hall on 31 March.

I'd like him to do the Bowie classic Kooks and dedicated to him and etty.

Without Izzy and Adler Perry or Dave would have to lose a few limbs to get Jane's to 60% original members.
