Paul is dead. The current Paul is an imposter. Therefore the US Government blew up the twin towers (but not the Pentagon or that other plane, for some reason...), and Perry Farrell sucks.

Well I can see where Perry would identify with Paul.

Paul also stuck his no talent wife into his act.

BTW my favorite Beatle was George. He always seemed so sincere

George was the best, even if he believed in pseudo-Eastern gibberish. If you could combine George with something more caustic... I think you'd have a perfect artist, for my taste. Basically, Nina Hagen, but less theatrics and more depth.

Someone had a hilarious take on choosing your favorite Beatle over at another forum that I frequent. It was something along the lines of: pretentious people pick George, ignorant people pick John, and sociopaths pick Ringo

Yeah, she's using John's heritage to fund Al Qaida.

And she helped them developing new torturing methods

The torturing methods are having to listen to any of her "music" while wearing headphones

Yeah I get that he was sincere about it, but it was lame, and every time I watch an old interview with him I want to scream out "Just shut the fuck up and play guitar!" because the stuff he'd say was half obvious, half brain-dead nonsense (sorta like Perry Farrell, but George was a better song-writer, solo.)

Some of my favourite George guitar-work is in the non-beatles stuff:

Agreed. They deserve respect, but as for making decent music? It's not everyone's bag and you shouldn't have to like it because society tells you so. Little Richard did more for rock n roll than the Beatles ever did. I tried listening to Sgt. Peppers for the third time ever the other week. You know, the older you get, the more appreciative you are..And I still never made it to side 2. Whatever floats your boat, innit.

The Beatles were my favorite band in the 8th grade! Paul is by far the best and the Beatles were fucking cultural landmark event. The Beatles were a far bigger deal than landing on the moon.

My Favorite Beatles tunes.

... Given your tolerance for Perry Farrell over the last decade, I'm not surprised by this at all. It makes so much sense.

Yea because global positioning devices, communication and weather satellites and learning everything we need to know about the universe is far less important than the Beatles

Hey Jude, along with Sympathy for the Devil, are the probably the two greatest Rock n Roll songs ever written. That's my humble opinion, but I also spray painted Twisted Sister and Van Halen logos all over my grade school when I was 10!

Hey Jude is a great song, though not exactly rock'n'roll... But that doesn't mean Paul isn't the worst Beatle. Yesterday's also an incredible song.

But the fucker also wrote Ob-La Di Ob-La Da.
According to studio engineer Geoff Emerick, John Lennon "openly and vocally detested" the song, calling it Paul's "granny music shit". Lennon left the studio during a recording of the song (after several days and literally dozens of takes of the song, trying different tempos and styles), then returned while under the influence of marijuana, went immediately to the piano and played the opening chords much louder and faster than before. He claimed that was how the song should be played, and that is the version they ended up using.
