This would have been a logic followup to Good Gods Urge in the late 90s...however now, even if he did this...it's too little, too late. He has lost pretty much all respect from the fans (at least around here).

I've never met a person who knew who Perry Farrell was but isn't much of a Jane's Addiction fan, who didn't think that he sucked now. Pretty much everyone I've met in that category will say something like: "Yeah, I liked them (Porno or Jane's) back in the day, but they're/he's kinda shitty these days." :noclue:

I hear what you're saying...however, back when I still "Liked" Jane's Facebook page, you'd see people constantly kissing the band's ass. "Dudes, the new track rocks!" [in reference to the recorded version of Another Soulmate]

Well, yeah, those people exist... but I wouldn't want to know them.

nice to see them celebrating the 26th anniversary of this album. it's been said many times but they have to be the laziest band ever.

i'm curious to see how this sells. $92-$118 for tickets. no way it sells out or comes close does it?

This should be a Ritual show. This is a great club though. This was the best of their TGEA shows imo. And yes, they are the laziest touring band out there. A Rirual show would require too much rehearsal.

Well, this will be the first ny-area show i purposely skip since 09 (well besides that times square show). I thought the band played well when i saw them at the paramount a few years ago, but the crowd was the lamest ive ever seen. almost ruined the show. damn long islanders!

but yeah, even if i did want to travel out on the island, those ticket prices are insane.

If this was at Irving Plaza I'd go. You're right, that was the LAMEST crowd, there was a fist fight during Mountain Song and 75% of the crowd seemed very Long Island Meathead to me.

There is still something exciting about this being a club show though. I finally passed on them for the energy drink show and Times Square cuz the combination of same ol' shit and an awful venue was too much. Huntington and NYC are two different worlds, if they add a city show I'd go for 90 bucks.

I was up front for that show and thought it was the best of TGEA shows. I cant remember what the crowd was like. I remember it being pretty good up front :noclue: :noclue:

Ed Sheeran is to today's teens what... I don't know... whoever the bland radio-rock singer-songwriter of the day was...

:jasper:

Kendrick Lamar is apparently a pretty good lyricist, but I don't get it. There are a bunch of "also ran" bands in the vein of KoL and the Lumineers on there too.

Gogol Bordello will be there... maybe I should take a weekend trip back to Madison. :wiggle:

I didn't see them initially. Didn't know whether to start on the bottom of the list, or the top.

5/19 capital theater! Wow. That's a lot of area shows. Why not just two NYC nights.

Wasn't the last Vegas show advertised as the last performance of Nothing's Shocking? If they're not doing Ritual now why bother doing an album? Just play club shows and mix it up a little! The Irving Plaza show in 2011/2012? was amazing, enough with the gimmicks!

I wonder if they're paid more for doing the nostalgia album show?

Yeah, I'm sure that's how it works...bands get paid more to do a set that features one of their classic albums from beginning to end.

However, in Jane's case...the promoter is just paying them not to play their new stuff.

Perry is trying to make something close to Ink Master money this year. Haha
